+1 I happen to think they are not attractive. The McLaren symbol being prominent in the car designs is a turn off. Maybe it's just because I think it looks too Star Trek like. Kinda corny.

If you build a house, and you want a modern design all the way, then the house will end-up like an office.

650s are trading in at 210k with 5,000 miles. Great performance car for value. Its probably faster than a 488 gtb for 75-100k less. Plus with the right exhaust and mods it sounds just as good as the 488 to me. It probably also handles better on the track due to the cf tub

I agree 12C was not much to look at, but this is a young company finding its way. 675 looks pretty good and 570 in flesh looks fab, way better than 991T.

I'm in NYC, but my 12C unfortunately is not.

I believe a member on here regularly had his 12C trap around 134, so that's quite a large MPH gap on a 997 Turbo, which no doubt gets quite a boost from AWD from a dig.

675LT is a phenomenal car, very quick and feels light like a challenge car with +100hp. Has plenty of emotion and soul unless you are dead, deaf or dumb.

My DD is a 991TTS and 675LT would destroy it all day long wouldn't be close.

I bought my 650s brand new for around $225,000!

I know the 675 is better, but at $200,000 more with options, it's not that much better.

I'm getting a tune that will give me about 750 hp

The hugh difference is the carbon fiber tub, it's a MARVEL used in all the line from 570 to the P1
Sadly ferrari has no plans to develop one in the near future
I think macas will be on top for a long time in terms of performance

    Really?

I drove the coupé some time ago - and that is a very soulful and an interesting car to drive.

We know you don't like turbos, but that does not take away from the LT.

    Have you driven it?

"If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then the person who is observing gets to decide what is beautiful. A common saying is "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," which means beauty doesn't exist on its own but is created by observers."

To my eye the 12C Spider and to a slightly lesser extent the 650s is a far more attractive design than the 458 Spider. Something about the 458 Spider just looks unfinished to me. When comparing the coupes, no question the 458 and 458 Speciale are the more attractive designs based on esthetics alone.

Re the monocled carbon hub the fact that Ferrari "reserves" this for its hypercar La Ferrari says it all in terms of its assessment of its merits.

Christian _ each to their own I like the 12C it just looks a little rounded and mounded to me like a Lotus say. McLaren clearly agrees looking at design trends. It will be a CLASSIC hold on to it _ their first mainstream road car.

Actually for me this is a joke. If you only put carbon chassis in the limited series what message do you pass to the Ferrari customers that didn't/couldn't get a limited series?!

Keep making and selling old technology to your customers Ferrari they are idiots that don't know any better. And keep making cars that are slower than your competition, after all you don't sell sports cars....

We weren't comparing the 991TTS to the 675LT but rather the 570 to the 997TTS. The 570 and 991TTS are comparably priced cars and I think thats a fair comparison. My 997 TTS cab. isn't really any slower than a 991TTS cab. for all intents and purposes on the street. While I own a 997TTS cab. and have driven several 991TTS coupes and cabs. I candidly have had zero seat time in a 570. While I don't believe a 570 will spank a 997TTS or a 991TTS all road tests on it seem to indicate that the 570 is a superb driver and much more connective with the driver than the 650S. Whether these statements are accurate or not I will need to defer until I've thrown a 570 around a bit. I also look forward to some road test comparisons with the 570, the 991.2 TTS, Huracan, 488, etc. I get the feeling that the 570 will more than hold its own with some of the more expensive steel out there and might actually be a "good deal" compared to what else is out there. All that being said, I still think the 488 is a much much sexier looking car than the 570, 650S or even the vaunted P1. Just my biased 2 cents.

So agree with Paolo comment - recall seeing an interview 3 years ago with Ferrari R&D head extolling the virtues of and Ferrari commitment to natural aspiration and multi-aluminium chassis.

He poo pood McLaren head who said N/A is sadly finished and that Ferrari soul move to carbon monocoque. He was spot on. La Ferrari shows what Ferrari would like to do if they had a blank sheet of paper supply chain and product wise (like McLaren did).

Ah, yes I agree I think the 570 will hold its own to a 991TTS. I drove one for about an hour and it was very quick. Personally I don't think it'll replace my 911, as I need awd, and the back seat (for storage). But I would add a 570, no question. And I think it looks much, much, better than a 488 ;)

Err. This is a 991 TTS cab, but there's not much of a difference between the 997 and 991.

The problem is that Ferrari made a HUGE investment in their aluminium foundry (and they should be proud of it, they make their own chassis from ground up) but technology evolved and it doesn't matter how much aluminium and steel composites you make (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche) none of that crap beats a CF tub. All of the automakers know that.
And of course BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche cant put a CF chassis in their cars because they would become too expensive but Mclaren, Ferrari, Konig, Pagani etc can and should.
Actually the only super car brand that doesn't do it is Ferrari ahah :D

Sure they have a kickass name and the 458 Speciale is a great product but thats a 2013 car... we are in 2016. Basically Mclaren is a almost no technological compromise car, Ferrari well....

So long story short they will not make production cars in CF and will still find a thousand ways to tell you their cars dont need it :) and most customers will buy that BS because well its Ferrari, its Passion even though their cars are slower then the main competitor (Mclaren) and they keep on having their asses kicked in F1 by Mercedes that makes diesel cars and many of them are Taxis eheh ; )
