No. Not 82669. I have friends all over. He is very private so all I'll say is it is in the eastern time zone.

A mystery for Furmano: I saw this car on "Autogespot" today; it has been spotted a few weeks ago by a guy in Spain. Ferrari 328 GTB - 3 fvrier 2016 - Autogespot It is undoubtely a US Market GTB (long lip, flag mirrors, rectangular repetitors on fenders, hot air exhaust slot in the rear bumper, etc...) BUT...which one? The one that was for sale last year in Germany? Or "one that got away"? Rgds
Fantastic to see the GTB on the road. Hard to visualize the Ferrari amongst the current cars on the road. How could anyone not want one of these cars.
This might be 77028, which I think was the one for sale in Germany. It might be worthwhile to find that dealer's website and see if that car is still for sale or if it has sold. Also, very interesting, this car does not have the Ferrari badge on the mirrors so it is unique among cars post 75808 (the last US GTB before the badge was added to mirrors). Obviously it's a convex wheel car so it must be post 76632. If we can find the advertisement of the car offered for sale by the German dealer we can see if that car had mirrors with no badges. Thanks for posting. -F
#75912 is back ( again ) on the market. Current Inventory | DriverSource : Fine Motorcars | Houston, TX One of pic show VIN plate that I never seen before. Can someone even saw it ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
On the transmission housing. A federal reg started sometime in that time frame requiring all major components be identified as a way of controlling theft for parting cars out.
Do you know the name of the German dealer who was selling a US 328 GTB? I generally remember it but I can't remember the name of the dealer. I bet we can find an image of that car somewhere on the internets. -F
The only GTS allowed in this thread. Jon's old nero metallico '87 328 GTS. #71403, April 1997 production. Not sure who owns it these days. -F Image Unavailable, Please Login
Will check if I can find it again. Last record I have for her is that she was still for sale at the beginning of 2014, on different internet sites, one in Luxemburg, one in Germany, as the car was near Trier, which is situated in Germany, near Luxemburg and France (and where I do drive often...) and was advertised for 34.000 euros with 58.000 miles. Funny how the prices have changed: she was not selling for 34.000 euros; two years later, this seems almost unbelievable! Rgds
Mirrors were replaced frequently and we never knew if the replacements would have the badges or not. I would not place any meaning on which are on any specific car.
Bert, Thank you for posting an image of your car. Can you tell me who the original dealer was for this car? It is typically found on the first info page in the Warranty Book. Back to the image posted by Nerofer, it appears the car in the Auto Gespot image is NOT 77028. This car does have a unique configuration, convex wheels, no badges on the mirror. Let's keep looking. Maybe it's: 76717 (no information) 77365 (only the build date) 77691 (only color info) 78225 (only color info and build date) 78680 (only color info and build date) 78702 (only color info and build date) If anyone has any info on these cars above, specifically color information or a build date or a known location, please post it up. -F Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd say around 30-40 cars left. The cars with all information next to them (color, build date, original dealer) represent cars that I have located personally. But also there are a few cars that I have located where the owner does not have access to the original dealer info (typically they don't have the original Warranty Book). So if you count up the cars that don't have all three pieces of info, that number comes to around 40 cars. And out of those, I would say around 30 of them are mystery cars because have never been presented publicly, either for sale or shown at a major show, or something like that. These cars (mostly the ones with only color info or only a build date next to them) have never materialized in the 6+ years I have been doing this. They may be out there somewhere, often found using Carfax, but in general, these cars have been kept out of sight. I am starting to collect images of all the found cars so I have a record of actually finding them. At this point I have images of around 30-40 cars. -F
Take for example MY 1986. The following cars have not been found in over six years of searching: 61731 61759 61805 61813 61973 62165 63449 65645 I have a contact with Ferrari who might be able to help. Also, Carfax can be used to help locate cars. And lastly, F-register can be used to find some info on cars. Anyone is free to lend a hand locating these cars. -F
Look at this one pics show an US GTB but vendor claim "Supplied new in Switzerland" ! With 270 HP !! And does'nt want to answer questions ! Ferrari 328 GTB by Kahn Automobiles | Afzal Kahn
