Little known fact, the officials actually flip a coin several times during the game ............ how else will they know whether or not to call pass interference or whether or not it was a catch! :D

LMAO. Of course, that strategy would give them a 50% success rate, which would be an improvement for some...T

Boys, don't bet against the NFL in Las Vegas. the NHL will be there within 2 years. Don't forget the #1,2,3,4 and 5 reasons the NFL bases its decisions on: MONEY. And there is plenty of that in Clark County. 2 million people in the SMSA.

On a local sports radio show yesterday they made the comment about NHL, and once they're established it will begin to open the possibility to more professional sports.

Why do the Raiders (and other NFL teams) "need" a new stadium? They want corp boxes to sell so they can make more money. Of Course they want to pay for as little of the cost as they can (Rams are the exception...no public funds...at least so far).

So this whole thing is to put pressure on Oakland and SD to come up with the funding for a new stadium.

The Broncos used to play in the old AAA Bears baseball stadium. They won two superbowls. Right away they went to the voters for a new stadium...it passed with ease. I believe the stadium should have been funded by the team, not the taxpayers. This was moot as l lived in the mountains far enough away to escape the taxes. I watch the games on TV.

Makes no sense to me why millions of tax payers should pay for a nice place for the elite 70k who have tickets to attend a game and the owners are making tons of money off it it. No government entity has ever paid a nickel for my place of business. And there would probably be so many strings attached it wouldn't be worth it anyway.

I wonder how many government employees/elected officials get tickets?

BTW Broncos tkts are the toughest in town. Good luck on season tickets...years on the wait list. No problem getting Nuggets, Avalanche or Rockies tickets though. ;)

^ There is no compelling reason to pay a team to come/go according to every dispassionate economic analysis I've read. It comes down to civic pride and politics...T

Calvin Johnson will reportedly retire from the league in the next few days.

I guess better to go out while he is still one of the best rather than decline and become a bit player. 30 years old, tons of money, still has his health. Winning at life as far as I am concerned.

The Cowboys should move there. Watching them is like going to a casino, you start out with high hopes, settle for the entertainment and always end up going home broke.

I'm gonna try reverse psychology next year. Assume we'll suck, and hope to be surprised.

I agree. Too bad Montana had to play with a bad back. Could have played longer and been more mobile.

I figured the Broncos would be good. Win the division and have to play Pats for AFC title. After a couple of dumb losses l thought we would have to play in Boston which is really uphill.

Never figured Peyton would be hurt and Brock would do so well. After Sea killed Den in the Superbowl Elway decided we needed a great defense. In two years he put together the best defense in the NFL. l never saw that coming. So everything had to go just right for Den to get to the Super Bowl. In sports you just never know...too many variables.

Elway has turned out to be a football mastermind. He acquired three of the best defenders in 24 hrs which are the core of the defense. I think Peyton will play his last game for Den this Sunday. Then Elway needs to build an effective offense going forward. I have no doubt he will do it. But nobody can predict next year. KC looks good, Oak is improved. It will be tough to win the division. We shall see.

I think teams get more leeway in the Super Bowl. I assume refs will screw up. I just hope it isn't outcome critical ...T

My Cowboy bias wants to get Aikman and Staubach into the mix based on their SB success, but IMO those two guys are the tops with perhaps Bradshaw thrown in since he also won 4...T

KC will never win a Superbowl with Reid. He will somehow mismanage the clock late in the game

Aikman and Staubach are all time greats, no question about it, however in my opinion one level down from Montana and Brady
