Just sitting here and not looking at my car I can think of:

Front and rear grills = 2
    Hood emblem
    Wheel center caps = 4
Front trunk access cover snaps have one on each = 4
    Steering wheel
    Head rests = 2 - except spider
    Engine plemums = 2
The bolts that hold the calipers on actually have them stamped on the heads = 8
At least 2 between the data tags

That's 26 hoursies just off the top of my head. I think there's a couple on the gauges too and I'm sure others.

There's also at least 12 places it says Ferrari I can think of.

I was not even thinking of ones such as the front snaps..Hardly noticeable but there..But even with the obvious ones there is more than enough..Lol..I saw an F50 At Auto Gallery that a guy put extra ones all over the car Interior and exterior..I could not believe what I was seeing!!!

Can anyone give the correct placement location for the shields if they're on a 328? (as given for a 355 in post #49 in this thread)

Anyone care to comment if shields were EVER correct for a 328? (or if this is simply an aftermarket decoration that was never intended for the 328)

AFAIK, no. The first car that came with shields was the F40 or maybe the 288 GTO

Never correct or offered on the 328. Shields did not become an option on regular production cars until midway through 355 production.

It was the 288. The 288, f40, and f50 received shields as did all the special limited production cars. Midway through 355 production (1997, I believe) it became an option on production cars.

Where those cars ceramic shields or were they stickers? I don't really remember the shields on the f40 and 288.

They are cloisonné shields with studs on the back, mounted into recessed parts of the fenders.
