+1 Adds absolutely nothing to 'our' knowledge base. Come on Michael! Prove these guys wrong! Godspeed, Ian
Actually it does. Fits the predictions. Sounds like LdM is preparing the world for some more news to come. He might even do this as a favor for the family. Who knows?
What did you guys expect?, Michael was basically gone from the moment he hit those rocks. Just a bad decision combined with bad luck...
I wouldn't discount what he said. He would know better than any of us. No news for this long cannot be good.
What I don't get is why mention Schuey's condition if you can't elaborate....did a journalist ask him a specific question and his response was plastered everywhere or did he make some sort of statement - this is what I get from the BBC : F1 great Michael Schumacher's former boss at Ferrari has said the latest news about the German's health "is not good" - but has refused to elaborate. "I have news and unfortunately it is not good," Luca di Montezemolo told reporters on Thursday." Best wishes to Michael. Sammy
As I said below, the family might use him to put the world on notice. It reminds me of how Bianchi died: Just a few days before he passed, his father went in front of the reporters and said that things are looking bad. I don't think that LdM is doing this as a publicity stunt. He doesn't need it and what's to gain from such a sad announcement? And I would certainly believe that he is one of the few people "in the know" (along with Brawn and Todt). While we don't like what we hear, I don't think just ignoring and refuting it will make the bigger issue disappear.
I did recall LDM giving his opinion maybe 1-2 months ago about Schumi's health. However, hard to point out if this is the current news, or extract from the previous comment, which he mentioned was not good too. Sadly, this is probably right. Given Michael's age, i really find it hard to believe or think he will ever recover again. Part of me wish he will walk again, while part of me wished it all should have finished in the crash site itself. It's really hard watching someone suffer like this.
If he had the family's permission: a life-long compassionate friend. If he didn't have the family's permission: a self-absorbed arrogant fool. LdM knows the answer to the above. Regardless, it's still a shockingly sad story and shows yet again how precious good health is, above all else. I hope for a miracle. Michael deserves it.
I agree with all of the above, I do however think he is possibly preparing the world for the extremely sad end. I am hoping for a miracle though.
Does anyone know what his condition really is? Is he hooked up to machines? Is he gone mentally? Is he completely bedridden? Able to communicate? I wish the family would just help all his fans by providing an accurate status. I know in reality it's none of our business I guess but it would everyone and provide some closure if not comfort in some way knowing how he really is and what we can expect. Selfishly as a fan, I want to know...almost need to know in a way...but I understand and respect the family and their feelings. It's just a bad deal all around.
LdM might have made a personal visit, he is one of the few that are able to.... I think adding every scrap together, he is bed ridden, and can only cry. Maybe eye movement. Certainly not walking...... I think LdM comment on life, is a personal musing, as he went thru a lot of dangerous days with MS. It's food for thought for us all. Even with a risky occupation (and there are many)..the odds are higher you get killed in traffic, or die in a fall. We all face fate.....
From what transpired over the years: a) No b) To a large degree but not entirely. Severly brain damaged. c) Mostly since he is unable to move d) Unclear. Some mentioned communication through eye lids.
The quoted pieces from LDM and the way he reflects on his friendship with MS seem fairly ominous to me. I think there will be more new about his condition in 2016, hopefully positive but that reflection alone I read as a goodbye of sorts.
I saw someone quoted ldm: 'i get news about him constantly, and unfortunately its not good' . IF this is correct then perhaps things are not quite as bad as some are imagining? No good news but then again no worse news? One thing for sure Schumi is a real fighter,if anyone can recover from this it's him. Godspeed Michael. We all praying for you.
I don't think any of us would recognize him today, which is why we don't see or hear much. What I hope is that Michael is not in pain and is in peace, but it must be a terrible situation for his family and friends even with this condition.
