Anybody have insight into the base price?
Now I know, I have seen this before - kind of - in the Chrysler C300 Estate wagon - the roofline and rear window, it is not the same car (of course) but there are some common lines here... Na I still prefer the old FF, the one everyone seem to hate...
Other than the dash, the interior pics seem to reflect more of a Teutonic (Mercedes/Audi) feel than the operatic Italian interiors I expect in a Ferrari. Maybe I'd feel otherwise of it was cuoio or bordeaux.
wow, pleasantly surprised! looks spectacular! They brought back the classic enzo era quad tail lights, side slats of yesteryear etc and put it all together w a nice modern twist to it all. love it!
same here. I love 911s with a rear wiper as well. I'm sure the wiper will be a $3500 carbon fiber option now
I'm still on the fence on the overall design. I think they lost a lot of the voluptuous and sensual flow of the PF design language, in favor of what seems to be more angular and sharp, much like their other models, and really, like many other manufacturers seem to be doing these days. Strikes me much like how the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro lines have gotten sharper of the last couple decades. Its a different design language that doesn't as much appeal to me, but I suspect is more appealing to a younger audience. Not much different from how the Lambo lines have evolved since the gorgeous and sensuous Miura to todays cartoonish designs. Many feel todays Lambos are gorgeous. I find them less so. On the other hand, I suspect the handling is even better, the keyless ignition is about time, as I would hope the cruise control is maybe now finally radar assisted. There are sure to be improvements in this model that I could wish our car had, but in the end, none seem precious enough to get me out of ours and into this one. We'll wait for the next, all new model I think. I tried as others have to find a pic that was close to the Ferrari pics to try to build an animated GIF. This is best I could find, but it helps my old eyes to start to see where and how the two differ.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We are só funny.... It is a spectacular car but the exterior iis pretty much the same design as the FF ( which I own and always loved) . I guarantee 99.9% of the people will not see any diference ( my wife , who is a car nut AND drives The FF more then I do , thoughtit was a FF ) . Só a lot of people that thought that the FF was ugly now thinks that the Lusso is a Beauty . Funny ... Having said that , loved it and the interior is thebig plus , in my opinion.....
Great visuals-thanks for posting. The fact is the overall design of the FF was an excellent first stab and like so often in design, it is the small differences that when added together, create something altogether more effective and greater than the sum of it's parts. Just look at what Bentley have done with the Continental since launch, many styling tweaks and yet now it looks really sharp and contemporary, albeit so close to the original. That is what can happen with a great initial design.
Bravo Ferrari Amazing job in improving the original FF design - IMO Think the GTC4 is sporting larger wheels maybe 21 inches anyone else think so ?
Excellent point Tim. Jaz, I think they are still 20s- Ferrari does something (photoshop?) to the ride height in their press pictures. I just blew up one of the pictures and the tire markings state 20. Thanks for the GIF Eric! I never warmed to the original and this one seems more appealing to me. The proof will be in the metal!
Yeah vast improvement and looks like more thought to rear passengers with larger rear window and lower, allowing more light and feeling of space. Help kids from feeling sick too. So will this get the full title all the time or will it just be known as the 'new Lusso' .
Still waiting as usual photos of the car in flesh and blood in order to better appreciate the proportions. I am fascinated by the ribs and the volume subtraction. The design is much more dry, appealing and practical than the FF. I love to madness the car interior. The new steering wheel is simply splendid. Another masterpiece of FerrariDesign. Welcome GTC4Lusso😊
I think the steeper hatchback and the change to the angle of the rear window so that it flows in the same direction as the rear roofline definitely make it look better. The side profile is nice and I like the aggressive folds and lines that run along the bodywork. The rear 3/4's view does look a little busy due to the overhanging lip above the lights and the vents below. However, direct back view reminds me of the excellent 456 design. I've always been a fan of the FF front view so no quibbles there. The side grills look a lot more purposeful than on the FF. They will be a bugger to clean! Zero complaints about the interior, hope it has a good satnav! It's a great refresh and has less polarizing love it or hate it design points. I wonder how the 4 wheel steering will feel?
Please excuse me, but I can't share your enthusiasm with the design of the GTC4Lusso. The smoothed front looks very boring to me. In the side view, with the fenders over the rear lights the rear looks now much bulkier to me, the ventilation ribs are ok. Viewed from the rear, in total the four rear lights appear too small, the tail has lost its character. The interior is ok, but there was not a big need for action. In comparison with the FF the GTC4Lusso looks new but definitely not more attractive to me. Boring, but in this way presumably approachable for the masses. Well done Ferrari? I don't no...
exactly! I don't know what is up with Ferrari sometimes. Why did they do the FF to begin with? Why is this just not the FF M as you say? Why did they name F70 a La Ferrari?
