To me, this is not a major change and therefore the name should probably still be FF. But, whatever. Glad to see they kept the V12.

Regardless, whilst it does look better, I am still no fan of the shooting-brake concept. Also, would really have preferred the availability of 2WD option to lessen weight, improve performance, and maybe lower the price.

    Interior does look cool.

I believe, the new GTC4 Lusso is now more inline (style wise) with current models.

After 2 FFs I was expecting better than this. Somewhere around 612 kind of goodness. Now my other ferrari will be either 488 spyder or cali t. I was hit hard on resale price on last FF and this new car seems no exception.

Thanks for doing the gif. It highlights that the shape of the roof has barely changed but the eye is drawn to other features of the car making you think it's quite a dramatic change.

WOW! I love the look of the GTC4 Lusso! It looks just incredible! Very beautiful and elegant design! And I also love the name of the FF successor! It reminds to the older cars from Ferrari and sounds much better than FF!

Love the return of the quad tail lamps ... reminds of a bit of the 456

I feel the quad tail lights and the redesigned rear window take some of the bulk out of rear end - anyone else agree with that ?

Thumbs up here, it has more stravaganza that I was missing in the old FF and the interior is uber cool. The name probably should have been FF M, but well, if we dealed with "LaFerrari" we can deal with this too.

Some improvement but no big deal IMO.

I wish Ferrari would give up the shooting brake concept already and just come out with an elegant, beautiful 2 + 2 coupe. A modern 456M with 700 hp would be fine by me, even with all wheel drive.

Guess we'll have to wait for the complete re-do model, another 5 years or so...

I think that is right. It devalues their historical back catalogue of names which should be employed more carefully. It also now means we expect the F12m to be called Competitzione or some such. These names should be withheld for limited cars or possibly entirely new models. To bring out an old classic like Lusso when the car has nothing to do with a Lusso means the marketing men are in control.

Agree the interior is a little bit too Jag/Merc/BMW ish mass contemporary rather than hand crafted Ferrari.....we will see. Had a smile at all the knockers of the FF who thought it should be more fast back when in fact what we now have is very nearly an estate car as the rear window is about 10 degrees more upright like a modern budget hatchback disguised by the lower roof line and after market looking spoiler.
To me the rear end looks a bit messy with less elegance, too much going on and why not call it the FF Lusso or something. The new name has absolutely no relevance other than it being different.

having a hard time how anyone can like the lusso but hate the FF - it's the same car aside from a few details -its like liking the 575 but hating the 550. I don't get it.

This is a new model, rightly so. A more masculine and more busy design.

The PF designed FF is more feminine and artistically arranged inside and out. From these responses mostly in the YEA that feminine side turned off those who need their Fcar to be a Viagra.

The push key means little to me, except it's closer to an Aston. The power and 4RM tweaks are welcome, yet the FF drives likes a beast in all weather now so not much room to grow there. +5% power not big but the power curve lowered is cool. Again, the FF is a beast to drive at 504 BHP/651 HP. Hard to use it all as is.

I do like the 458 wheels and maybe those are larger? Could look great on my FF.

I'm happy to see the FF be a unique thing, and I'm into the wheels. Not the interior or the fin vents or the rear end lines, or the side lines, or the door handles. It's a disconnected and macho look. Have at it :)

    Home run!

And it doesn't make the FF seem dated.

Any thoughts on the impact on FF prices/depreciation?

I think this update looks really nice. A significant improvement over an already great car. And the general direction that Ferrari is taking with design is a good one, IMO

I like the window, and the rear quarter. I'm sure it will have the flat look of the tesstarossas in the rear side mirrors. ( them big flat haunches filling the mirror).

However I liked the single light on the FF the Lusso looks too busy may of worked better with twin pipes either side instead of quad tail pipes not sure maybe it will grow on me. But overall I was already a fan of the FF but I think they have converted a lot more people with this.

Edit. I've saved the pic of the rear 3/4 look as my screen saver on iPad. Maybe I will get used to the look that way.

Im afraid you might be correct there. I do hope they don't get too much control and spoil things.

Case and point is bmw with mini. They realised they had acces to all the old names and flooded the market with stupid looking minis to the point now where you can buy the same mini about 8 different ways today, where marketing is in control, not somebody with respect for heritage

I think the name really suits the character of the car. Calling it the ff m would be doing it a disservice. There is a lot more going on with the design.

    Ceci n'est pas une SUV.

Edit: I guess it might be a minivan, or station wagon. But I really think this thing is an SUV.

Looks like an FF to me!
Interesting the top speed still at 208mph yet with 40hp more. Suggests the new shape is less aerodynamic perhaps? Seems odd - any thoughts?
