I am going and can't wait! There will be a Bentayaga, 2017 Ford GT, 1983 Aston Martin Lagonda, Huracan Spyder, probably an LP580, P1, NSX, and a 488. Among other cool cars!
Alfa should be bringing the same cars they had on the stand at Detroit. That included a T33/2 Stradale production model and a TZ2. Those two are worth several million Euro alone!! Also the new Giulia V6 Turbo, the worlds fastest 4 door sedan will be on display.
There is always something that is worth the time to go to this event. If just to see the presentations. There are so many who have to travel many more miles than us. Something to be thankful for living in the Chicago area. (I may be the only one the way the whole state is being run. Just my opinion of course.)
I was there this AM. Was ok. Ford GT, alfa 33 Stradale and Viper ACR were the main cool stuff. Lexus LC500, and the Acura NSX and Precision were nice too. Buick Vista was nice although i dont see them ever making it. All the Giulias on the Alfa Stand were locked. The 4c were inaccessible. And this was during press day. Who do they think they are? Ferrari? We are talking about $60k cars here..and a brand that has almost no history anymore in the US. You walk on the booth and they have cute girls and locked cars. If you add to that the fact that the Fiat dealers i spoke last year had no real clue on the 4c, i can see how this come back will be a failure. My personal fav were the GT and Viper ACR. http://i.imgur.com/BIwPDF8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/sfPWhsE.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5uGWPnZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0f8Qlvo.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XgpeujA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Pt84Dfv.jpg http://i.imgur.com/gcGbHt8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8JsRiZ6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wMyB3ZT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/t2kvuhG.jpg
Why do you think Giulia is the Worlds fastest sedan? There is a number of cars that are faster and quicker.
I feel the same way. I've been to car shows in Geneva, Paris, LA and this and it compares well. It is not as great as some of the European shows, but overall not bad and so easy to get to.
Nice shots. You should subscribe again so we get to enjoy your fotos more. I envy you for the "no people" pictures, so nice and I bet a pleasure to walk around without the herds.
4 door sedan at the Nurburgring. Overall the fastest in handling and speed until the Germans make one faster at the Nurburgring.
Very true. FIAT also acts like they are more than just an Italian Chevy. Although Alfa is going upscale into Maserati territory they have the worst dealer network in the USA. And no one knows anything at the FIAT dealers. By the way, did they not bring the Alfa TZ2??? The Ford GT looks good in white......The show does not look as good as last year, but still worth going to. Never as good as Geneva as that is THE European show along with Paris sometimes. Chicago, NYC, LA and Detroit are the big 4 in the USA. The rest are not that great. Detroit is taking alot of the debut cars from Chicago now. Who knows how long that will last as the Detroit show has been up and down over the years.
Went yesterday. I agree that the Ford GT looks good in white. I thought overall show is good. About the same as last year.
Carol and I went on Tuesday...Unless there is an in advance car (s) that we really want to see, we don't care to be planning to attend next year. The noise of some of the exhibits just showed no caring by the management of the exhibitors that were near them. In the end, the two of use were disappointed even though we just wanted to see a few cars that we planned to see on our list. Glad the show is close even though the traffic in was not good...Still if you want to view all the car offerings under one roof at one time....It is still close for sure.....

Nice photos. I was very suprised Alfa Romeo had large brochures to hand out!! But the cars were not opened because they are prototypes according to the models(I guess they are still using 4C prototypes for the displays )........... They did finally open the doors, but would not open the hood. With out a doubt!!! It's amazing that people don't realize how valuable and technically advanced those cars were. It cost twice as much as a street Ferrari back in 1968. Not a suprise they didn't sell many.
You would do well as a diamond dealer with those photos...How are you...will be sending mail soon....Hope all is well....Appreciate very much the hug you gave me the last time we saw each other in memory of Bill....
I "discovered" Adobe Lightroom recently and it changed my game in regards to pictures, it is amazing what can be done. In this case with all the glitter and glamour surrounding the cars I had fun taking the Lightroom filters to the max, hence the bling shots. Doing fine, thanks. Hoping to have more time for car events this year. Looking forward to see you and others at the Ferrari Expo in March. Missing Bill and often think of him.
People meet and look forward to the next time when their personalities meet again. (Feel the photo shop was cranked up a bit in the photos.)
I used to go to the show every year but I don't bother anymore. If I really want to see amazing cars I go to the LFSC Concourse or elsewhere. Whats the point of paying money to not even be able to get inside an $80K car? The exotics are roped off, can't even look into the windows. On the flip side I go to the Boat Show and can get on million dollar boats.
