Based on the launched GTC4, do u expect the new F12 to have major changes ? I am asking this because I hv placed an order for an F12 to go into production any day now.... So is it better to wait for the new F12 ? Any idea when the new F12 will be launched ?

I don't know about what will come, but your question is personal to you. The ff went sleeker for styling. Some like it and some don't. Are there things you'd like to see different for the f12 and if so, are there hints that what you don't like are on the list to change? There is a danger with always chasing the "next" car. Will you have buyer's remorse with the current f12?

We are all speculating on that. Guess is roughly a year from now. Maybe they get aggressive and show it toward the end of this year or maybe they show it early next year.

It seems it will remain NA V12. I don't see it upstaging the TDF on power so I think you will see power bump to max 750hp but my guess is that they want to keep it below for marketing reasons so maybe 745 or something similar. I bet we will see some form of 4WS and SSC...

I wonder if we will see a similar central screen like the FF adopted. I hope so only because I would like there to be something more for the passenger to do rather than just wonder how fast is this maniac driving me! :)

Your question asks about major changes. I think the answer depends on how you view these cars. Ferrari has to remain ahead of the competition. I am sure they are aware of this and I am sure they will make changes that are appropriate to the car's mission.

I also have an F12 in the system. I'm getting it because I love it and I don't know how I will react to the new one. I have the opportunity to go with the F12berlinetta. So I am going on the ride. Maybe I will love it more or maybe less. Either way I think the F12 is brilliant so I am sticking with it.

I think we can expect a few more horses, 4WS, redesigned interior and some external styling tweaks, so yes, pretty much the same menu as the FF/Lusso.

Thank you for asking the question..

Unfortunately, we got the answer today in the FF replacment ( not facelift) now that we have seen California T, 488, and now the new FF with the most complicated name, I can assure you that a new family look is emerging as I can see the common elements in the new design language in all three updated cars. Especially 488 and new FF.

the new F12 will surly have a more advanced and refined cabin, updated technology, I would think some screen but maybe not as large as we saw today, new seats and smaller steering wheel.

The exterior will possibly maintain the overall shape, but the details will change for sure..

It will be a new F12 next year, no doubt.

I'm going to keep driving my F12 all the way to the new F12 launch event and accept what comes my way...

I'm tired of chasing the next launch and update, the current F12 is magnificent and I know the next one will be better, but I don't what to live in the future...

Let's enjoy our cars for now.

New F12 is not expected to have this kind of a facelift as the FF/GTC4. More likely to be more limited editions - including a convertible. Also, new regulation re noise will make our V12s even more special in a few years time

Question is when would YOU get the new F12?
Certainly not before end of 2017 and more likely 2018.
    Why wait?
Loads of good people leaving our world right now, you never know.

How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. Perhaps not even. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless.” -- Paul Bowles

I have an F12 on order due in April, ordered in November (sounds like uk cars cars are quicker to come through). Just put a deposit on new Gtc4 as earliest I will see it is 18 months so will come out of F12 into Gtc4 and then effectively do the same with the new F12 whatever it is and whenever it comes. This should allow me to run a new V12 every 2 years a keep it interesting by switching between formats!

All I know is that I can't wait to see what it will look like.

I will have an F12 or F12M (or whatever it's called) in the future. I love how the F12 looks so I'll go with it if the replacement looks worse to my eyes.

I hope it looks as good or better. Would be a shame to ruin something as beautiful as this:

I believe the next F12 should surpass the F12 TDF in everyway, given more leather/ sound insulation.
Good example would be how the 599 GTO 660hp was upped by F12 730hp... 458 Speciale 600hp to 488 660hp...etc...

So it will definately looks way better than the current F12 (Not that it's not desirable but As with the great evolution from FF to GTC4 Lusso)

It will also be the end of the N/A V12 without KERS/Hybrid power assist.....

It will sure to be a collectable...

If you have a similar plan then I believe your original question is answered given that any day now you car goes into production. As alluded to above, there are many threads predicting the timing and content of both the F12M, any LE and SP and Aperta versions, the final incarnation with the same chassis, and then its replacement. IMO I don't think the Lusso changes any of that with the exception that the flagship model will copy the 4WS of the tdf. If you plan to flip every two years then you'll know more than most of us!

I don't think that is correct, not with the M. The F12 successor in 2020+, yes, it will up the ante in many ways.

If they do an M with a 5 year lifespan, how can there be an F12 M replacement in 2019 or 2020? It stands to reason that the Cali T will be replaced in either 2019 and then the 488GTB in 2020. This makes room for a GTC4 replacement in 2021 and an F12 M replecement in 2022.

As some speculate, there might not even be an actual M version of the F12, but an entirely new model replacing the F12. If that's the case, I don't see why Ferrari would have any issues making the replacement more powerful than the F12 TdF.

There was 2 years between the 599GTO and the F12 B, and it looks like there will be 2 years between the TdF and the F12 replacement. In the world of Ferrari, 2 years is a long time in terms of development and performance. When they release their new flagship front engine V12, they will want it to be the new king - only rivaled by the LaF. It has always been that way, why should that suddenly change?
