I just installed these on my 348. Very pleased with the result as they are much brighter than stock. The plug and play feature is really nice too. It really lights up the road like my wife's Mercedes. You can really pick out much more detail while driving. Thanks Mike!

I need to test this a bit more, but overall they filled the road pretty well and were much brighter than stock.

I'd guess the reason they don't put one on the tip is the that without some form of diffusion it would be too bright for on-coming drivers to look at.

Glad you're modding your car to your tastes Chris! Getting the LED's installed on my car in the next few days.

So distance lighting on these is good as well? While I don't drive a lot at night occasionally I'm out after dark and the halogens just don't cut it that well.

I had previously tried a set of LED's on my DD... while they were bright at the housing itself... not so good down the road. That was a few years ago though...

Curious also if they have a Bi-LED version. I ended up putting Bi-Xenons in my Explorer and haven't had any issues yet (knockonwood) but I like the fact the LED's will run cooler.

    Thanks for input.

Just had my first night drive with these LED's installed. Really great upgrade and much, much brighter than stock, also not blue. Maybe just a hint of blue, but I color correct stuff for a living and most wouldn't notice it.

For $100 this is by far the biggest bang for the buck upgrade I've done to any car.

    Thanks Mike!!

Does the kit include complete set for both sides or you need to buy 2 different kits? The 355 headlights require 2 bulbs on each side 1 low beam and 1 high beam.

This kit is just for the low beams.

They do sell a kit for the high beams as well though, right? I'd want to do both if I did it...

Once you drive with XENON HID Headlamps you won't go back to anything less....way much better than Halogen and LED.
FYI, the LED's do an absolute poor job at dispersing the light on road...at-least the ones currently available...forget the laser led used on the Audi R18 race car at Le Mans not unless you know the head of Audi Racing

IMO 8000K is the perfect choice...I personally do not like the 6000K

OPT7 9005 LED Headlight Conversion Kit 60W CREE 6000K White Light Bulbs | eBay

Its alllll about the headlight housing itself. Especially if its not a projector beam housing.

I respectfully disagree. I've had many issues with HID over the years. They can flicker, cause FM static, draw way more power, discolor from either a bulb or a ballast prematurely failing and can be a serious PITA to properly mount the ballast depending on the car.

Also 8k bulbs can look purple. 6k is closer to a factory look.

Many HID kits are also illegal in many states as the light out put is soo drastic it can blind oncoming cars.

On the topic of HIDs, has anyone purchased from this site before?

5000k HID Kit - Factory White HID Headlight Conversion | HIDeXtra

My buddy just installed HIDs in his NSX and i did a side by side comparison to the LEDs from OPT7 and looking at the headlight bulb, the OPT7 is brigher, however, the HID's light beam was significantly stronger than our LEDs.

I'm considering trying a set of HIDs just to compare. Curious if anyone else has a brand/model they liked?

I haven't heard of that brand before. That's not to say they don't make a good kit. Did your buddy go with a 55w Ballast kit? Those are Very powerful.

I have 55 watt HID conversions in my track car. They really are too bright for everyday use because they're bound to be torturous for oncoming drivers. The light output is phenomenal though. They take so long to come to brightness that the high beams are pretty useless. I don't consider them to be an option in the Ferrari, although the light they produce would be great to have when driving the back roads.

Just replaced my head lights with LED as recommended on this thread. They look great and I hope they will last as long as my old halogens (19 years). I also bought a pair of H1 LED but they did not fit the housing of the fog lights, did anyone here replace the fog lights with LED's? A recommendation will be appreciated.
