I had a deposit for a BMW M2 with local dealer here in VA. I have decided not to take the car and wanted to put a post here to see if there is anyone looking for one. If so I can put you in touch with the salesperson I deal with. These cars seem to be in short supply. The car I am referring to is Long Beach Blue, with the M double clutch transmission and Executive package. I assume will sell for MSRP of approx. $57,395. It should be at the dealership in a week or two.

Nothing in it for me, I am just trying to help the salesperson and hopefully someone who is looking for this car. PM if you want more info.

Killer car. Good luck to you. Shouldn't be too hard to find a buyer.

I have read on the BMW forum that the wait list is 15-20 deep in large CA dealerships. Thought this may be a good opportunity if someone on the east coast is looking and wants one soon. I would love to buy the car but it just doesn't quite fit the plan right now. I have purchased several cars from this dealership and salesperson and they have been great to work with.

Dave, interesting offering. Yes, in Cali here the wait is ridiculous, let alone the dealer mark ups that re being attempted.

For those interested in taking on a project, the M235i and Dinan can easily get you to the same level of performance for less money. In fact, it can knock on M3 territory. As good as the M2 is, the car will suffer from an identity crisis in the BMW line-up, IMO.

For anyone that insists on this car, however, this is a good opportunity. Get the message out in the CA boards.

I wish I had the funds. Saw a M2 during our Customer Appreciate at Penske during all the auctions. Long Beach Blue is perfect too. Good luck!

Kudos to you for not trying to mark it up when I think you could! I love that you are just trying to hook up a like minded enthusiast. The new M2 seems to be the car many of us have been asking for!

What an opportunity. I wish I had the money. Best of luck. I'm sure it won't take long to find someone.

I emailed the details on this car to a BMW forum member in California and he has placed a deposit on the car.

I wonder if the cars will be selling on the secondary market for a premium. Bigger question to me is if the new M4 GTS will be selling used for a premium....

Thanks to all of you for your comments, and compliments.

I wonder the same thing DaveW. With all of the hype and recent testings of the M4 GTS and the great write-ups and testings on the M2, I hope both of these go to real drivers, and not garage's. Great post…I had no idea California had such long M2 waiting lists.

Has anyone heard of GTS contract's selling on secondary markets already?
