I don't know how much Joe Ford owes to Max Vito but I thought the amount the arbitrators ordered Joe Ford to pay to Chris Gardner is about $500,000 for attorney fees and costs advanced by CG and that Joe Ford also is to pay Kristi Lawson her share -- 30% or 10% -- of the OC's share of the auction proceeds, with CG to get a full 50% of the OC's share. Leaving Joe Ford with enough for bus fare.

Yes. Actually, having re-read Tom's post I believe the RM Sotheby's people were the ones who told him about Max trying to sell the fake 375 and also a SWB Replica project.
Not so long ago, Joey Ford in his attempt to "Raise Funding", offered Max Vito some kind of deal. The deal involved "the Joey Ford-Kristie Kleve Lawson 375 Plus’ Crackpot" (I mean Jackpot). After their game of Ping Pong (back and forth because Joey always wins), Max received a reinvention of terms from Joey for a "new Ball game”. Not sure what that was…. I read that Ford joined the Wexner team of lawyers, both in London and in Ohio to supply information to them on how to remove Robert Brooks from the Bonhams board of directors – at a time when Bonhams was for sale and when Sotheby’s was acquiring RM Auctions (summer of 2014). One small detail….Les Wexner is a Director for Sotheby’s. He was also a friend to A. Alfred Taubman, Sotheby’s CEO who’s mission was to raise Sotheby's to it’s former glory. Taubman died in late 2015. Taubman and Wexner were close, and Wexner was on the "Shortlist" to visit Taubman during his Federal Pen time for crimes with another auction house - Christies. When Wexner visited him in prison, he would bring rolls of quarters so Taubman could buy hamburgers from a vending machine. This Wexner liaison with Taubman being in close association with Sotheby’s has certainly placed him close to the interest of making Sotheby’s his one and only in the market place. Wexner buys most of his Ferraris from RM Auctions, and buys most of his art from Sotheby’s. Wexners’ eye for art has translated into a gallery of great Ferraris. Maybe Tom can explain his involvement in the stolen parts. I don’t know the details. If Tom could post the police report on Max’s gearbox conversion, that could prove more.
