No idea. I bought it to have with my '78 but it's a black jack so the consensus seems to be it's either a late QV or early 328 kit.

Jeff, This is a 308 tool roll; had it been a 328 one, there would be a single large "pocket" for the pliers, second from right (after the first one at right - of course, 2nd comes after 1st - which is the one for the spark plug tool) - instead of two small ones. Rgds

That's him Bruno And actually the recent empty tool roll prices exceeded my expectation by quite a bit. Earlier last year they costed about 150-200.
On the other hand...there are still good deals to be found! - A nice, complete, 328 tool roll (not empty, but full of all its tools) sold on E-Bay U.K in less than a day (yesterday) for £ 500.00 - at £ 400.00, but even with only one picture, I think this one definitively deserve some interest, whatever the tools are, because you would easily recoup your expenses... 328 kits demand a bit less than 308 kits. It's more apparent these days that the early kits with Everest wrench and Tommy bar plug wrench are quite a chunk more expensive than the later Polytools kits and the Polytools kits are slightly higher than the Kravm and Ferrari wrench kits. I've noticed a lot of UK kits/tools surfaced in the last two weeks. But £400 is a no brainer if you need one.

I worked in the Design Studios of General Motors - Holden in Melbourne Australia in the mid-70's. We had a Ferrari 308 in as a benchmark evaluation car and of course looked at everything including the tool kit. We could not believe it when we saw a Ferrari Tool Kit full of Indian made tools. And they were'nt even good quality pieces. I have never forgotten that!
Late to the thread: Seeing the prices, I immediately rushed out and removed the tool and jack kits from the boot. These are basically 'mint', so I wiped them down with lambskin coated with "RIG" (which is the best protectant I know of and is used on $100K double rifles!). So, here's the deal... - 1984 (June if memory serves) 308 QV US Model - Tool Kit exactly like Jeff's = 'Blue' handled pliers, 14mm spanner (wrench) by 'Utema' with all others marked "Ferrari". My take on the 14mm spanner is that it is the only one of the set that has a closed end... May explain the difference in manufacturer... - Window tool missing the plastic bit at the end (DANG, now where did THAT get to) - Spark Plug tool has the insulating insert The thread had me worried that my set was mismatched until reading the later posts... Agreed that getting into 'cardboard sparkplug box' details would likely be grounds for having us all committed to the funny farm, but it is exactly this kind of painstaking attention to detail that differentiates us... right? Both of mine are Bosch W 6 DS without boxes by the way and I have a total of four belts (likely the plugs and additional belts were put there by Norwood, as he usually went 'above and beyond' when servicing)... Well: about the wrenches/spanners, see my post #313 on February 9th... I have a lone 14mm combination wrench in my spare tools box that I posted pictures of, which is marked "Ferrari" and "Chrom vanadium", but without any brand. I suspect it might be matched to your set of wrenches/spanners; I would be interested to know if it is the same style... Rgds
Hi Nerofer, Many thanks for the offer and I may take you up on it (please PM me with the price you have in mind). I just started digging into the tool kit threads today out of curiosity and found that there are at least 6 examples of kits with blue handled pliers (assuming all '84 year models). What I also found is that those with blue handled pliers that provided details also had the same mix on the 14mm spanner markings. Oddly enough, this 'mix' may actually be considered 'original'! To digress a bit, very collectible S&W revolvers with Imperial Japanese Navy markings that had all matching serial numbers were usually fakes! The reason here is that the Navy would disassemble for cleaning en masse and never get the original parts matched when re-assembling! It may be that there was some shortage of the correct spanners in '84... Who knows! Truth is often stranger than fiction... Anyway, please send me a PM and thank you very much for your post. Bruno, I think I have one of those you have but a complete set. It's different from those "Ferrari" ones in the sets with blue handle pliers. Those are with a circle around the size numbers and yours is not but similar to the Utema design but still different. I'll picture my set tomorrow.
The mix is probably like the orange translucent handle screwdrivers in earlier kits, different styles.
Good catch Piezo, I had missed this... Indeed all of the spanners in my tool kit that are marked 'Ferrari' have a circle around the size number. The 14mm 'odd man out' does not and neither does the one pictured earlier by Neofer. Are you aware of this mis-match of the spanners in '84 tool kits with blue handled pliers? Just curious here as two others have commented on this being the case in their tool kits... Thank you again, John.
Fascinating: another type identified. I posted the pictures just for knowing what it could be, as I found it by chance, and it is alone of its type. In fact, I was not particulary looking for an opportunity to sell it; although I might always consider selling a tool I have if this can be of some help to anyone, and especially to someone who would be needing it to complete a set (I hate knowing there are uncomplete set looking for the last one missing). At least with the 14mm combination wrench we are almost always sure that they come from a 308/328 tool roll... Rgds
