After 35 years of wanting one...I finally bought my first Ferrari... Started to look seriously early winter here in Central Europe and found this fine example near Munich... 35k's 1986.. Thanks Alberto by the way for all the tips too.. Thankfully deep winter here still in the Austrian Alps so one needs to be patient....but it will be worth the wait come spring...then I can finally have my own comparison between my 911/964 and the 328.. I'm sure I will be looking for more advice from you folks as time goes on... Till then Cheers J Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'll bet the 911 and 964 will be collecting dust from now on.. The 328 looks good ! Congratulations !
Welcome. First post with a great story and picture (doesn't get much better than that). Enjoy and drive safe.
there's no comparison! anyway, goodluck with your car. Looks gorgious. I was in Austria with my 328 1.5 year ago. One of my favorite countries with the nice wide but twisty roads!
As for my two 328s in winter, if there is snow (or ice of course) on the roads, or if there has been salt and it has not rained since, the cars stay in the garage. But whenever a drive is possible in winter (no snow / no ice / no remnants of salt on the roads) they go out for a drive; I love to drive these in winter, and the heating is much better than the A/C... Happy days for you to come. Rgds
Thanks for the warm welcome to the club.... so to speak. It's always around 6 month wait till the next driving season here in Austria...that's the trade off to having great skiing and amazing driving roads right at my back door. But that makes each spring time very exciting.... Regardless of 911/328 I have to live vicariously through those of you enjoying your cars in the warms climes... Cheers J
Congrats Jason. We have similar story ! I also got many years before buying my first ...a Rosso Corsa 328 #72219. And it was sold new in Germany ... Have you more information or pics about your car ?
I've uploaded a few shots to my profile album from the showroom where I bought the car as the Fchat isn't liking me uploading to the thread... Rookie I guess... Images are not as exciting as a mountain road, but its also car porn in its own right.. Sorry for the pcar....had to be done.. Cheers j
