    Hi ,
I am putting a new set of plug wires on my '78 , twin distributor and I would like the routing to look stock/ correct. I have a universal MSD 8.5mm set that I can build to suit.

On mine the wires come out of the forward cap toward the front of the car and on the rear cap they head toward the rear. Is that right?

I have seen routing on the rear bank in a number of different configurations. What are the correct holdowns and routings for front and rear?

Sorry for the noob questions. All my Ferrari books are packed for a move so I can't find any period pictures.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Richard

    Great thanks Steve.

I hope I can get those wires in, but that's why I mentioned it. Thought I'd get some feedback. I'll post if they work.

I concur with Steve and thru my own experience. 8mm is as big as you can go. You will have to shave the 8.5mm to fit in the distributor cap. Prolly not recommended.

    Great pictures , thank you.

And yes the 8.5mm MSD wires are too big. I could probably make it work but I'll just find a decent set of 8mm wires. Suggestions?

    Cheers,

    Rich
