    The Ferrari S-FISH today, yesterday

There was excitement amongst Formula 1 media with news that Ferrari’s 2016 F1 car, the S-FISH, has got a bit of white paint on it.

‘Oh my God, part of it is white!’ spluttered one F1 journalist. ‘That’s amazing because some of their cars in the ‘70s had white on them and now this car has white on it and, erm, yea. White bits!’

‘This is a landmark moment for Scuderia Ferrari,’ explained the team’s director of attention seeking, Lucca Dis. ‘You see, for many years our cars have been all red. However, the new car is mostly red but, I can exclusively reveal, some of it is actually white. I know, I know, I can barely believe it myself.’

Ferrari insiders say by painting some bits of the new car white rather than red they are ‘very confident’ that the S-FISH will be capable of third or fourth place, or fifth depending on what Williams are like, or maybe eighth if Kimi had a big night on Saturday. ‘That is the power of having a little bit of white on your car,’ boasted one insider.

‘Yea, white,’ muttered Sebastian Vettel unenthusiastically. ‘What?’ added Raikkonen mysteriously.

Kind of reminds me of a pack of cigarettes...Marlboro. Maurizio Arrivabene (new team boss) had a long time relationship with Philip Morris...hmmmmmmmmm.

BTW, they could have painted the car purple with pink polka-dots and Raikkonen would have had the same reaction. LOL

I'm curious how many Fcar owners here actually watch/follow Formula 1?

I hope the new SF16-H performs better than last years. But it certainly looks good ;-)

That being said, I haven't really followed F1 in years. Too regulated to keep things "interesting" and the result is only large cash infused engineering teams can fulfill these requirements successfully.

Le Mans/GT is where it's at. Audi even sends Diesel to the race and successfully so. Everyone should have the option to completely re-approach the topic.

Curious to see how new owners of F1 - when it happens - will handle. And curious how Ferrari as a public company is going to prioritize racing budgets. Because the question is how many Fcar owners really care about F1 championships? <-- which I really mean as a question not an implied statement.

Formula One is not watched by most Americans (NASCAR is the rage). But in the rest of the world Formula One is like a Super Bowl every two weeks. Huge.

I gave up on F1 when the cars began to sound like sewing machines.

F1 regulations are making the sport less interesting in my opinion. Seems like petronas will be winning regularly with their remarkable engines.
