I have never seen the last car in the photos before, is it still around?

It is still around, it was supplied new to London property developer Harry Hyams who still owned the car a the time of his death just before Christmas.

Does anyone have any photos of Jersey (in the Channel Islands in the UK)-registered Testarossas or other Jersey (in the Channel Islands in the UK)-registered Ferraris?

A lot of RHD Ferraris go to Jersey, which is a reasonably small island, but we rarely see photos of them.

The number plates will be J then a number (see attached) for example.

P.S. if anyone knows the identity of the Jersey Testarossa attached, I'd be interested...

That is part of a set of photos auctioned on Ebay in 2009 taken at Maranello before they moved to Egham - did you buy them ?

Great photo of 7323 to have in your file, Simon!

    275 GTS s/n 07569 - reg HAD464D
    330 GT 2+2 s/n 7323 - reg GBL330C

It wouldn't have been as early as 1965 as there is a 330 GTC behind the two cars, and the first example didn't arrive in the UK until very late 1966.

The photo was taken facing east outside what is now 87a Wellesley Road, Chiswick, where Maranello Concessionaires had a workshop. The big Sycamore trees in the background are still there.

    Hello all:

Just a note here from down under.

I wish to verify the provenance of my UK delivered 1975 308 gt4.

I have been told about a UK Ferrari archive & thus seek a 'link'.

    Any information appreciated.

    Mick.

Try [name/email removed by mudderator] should be able to sort you out for around £70.Very helpful guy.

[mudderator note: While post is extremely helpful, it has come to light that the email recipient may have been hacked on prior occasion. Unfortunately, this happens all too often with publicly posted emails. If the recipient gives permission to have his email address published, then the post will be restored in full. In the meantime, perhaps PM is the way to share that info out of reach of web-crawling hack-roaches.]

Not that I am aware of. None of the GT4 paper records exist. You should ask Tony what he does have, then see what the rest of us over hear might already know. What's the chassis number please.

I'll wait for Mick to confirm, but I think it might be 09684.

    Hello Chaps:

& many, many thanks for your interest & response.

Tony has replied immediately to my enquiry thus:

'Originally sold by Ian Anthony Sales, Bury, Lancashire to:

    Mr. J. Doodson
    Ye Moor Lock Inn
    Waddington
    Clitheroe
    Lancashire

Original Spec - Giallo Fly with Nero Interior And Black carpets.
    Delivery date 14-04-1976.'

    Yes the VIN is 09684.

The North American gt4 registry lists the car as 'red/nero'.

In fact either rosso rubino or rosso bordaeux clearly visible in multiple places.

I am thus delighted to learn her current livery original.

09684 was owned by Superformance & lightly restored prior 2008.

Any further information re the car most gratefully accepted.

Commercial literature via the net implies the car first registered as an S2(?) car 28-04-1976.

This date is supported by various V5 documents in my possession.

I am very interested to confirm any other information available.

    Again & with sincere thanks.

    Mick. Melbourne Australia

This is what the front of Maranello Concessionaires looked like when a batch of brand new red 328GTSs had just been delivered for those of you who weren't able to visit ...every month!

I retain copyright on all my photos.

I don't know how significant the key number is but I don't think I'd be posting mine on the Internet!

In the UK you can get some information on the history of a car you own through the DVLA (vehicle licensing authority) but I'm not sure what might be possible for a car no longer in the UK. It might be worth contacting them to see if it is of interest.

I haven't been down that way for a long time so I looked at Streetview. The Modena Engineering site is now occupied by a mock-Tudor building that looks like it is probably an office or a care home...

When Modena Eng closed down, the site was redeveloped. I went there a few years later and it was flats or something....
