been way to quiet in here recently....

p1 is the bestest faster ever. 918 is a fat pig and laferrari is just a bunch of fanboys dream car.

that should get some stuff going right?

At this point what I'd most be interested in is reading some owners reviews after spending some good time w their machines.

Unless I missed it, I'm still waiting for the magic McLaren track time that a few were smugly bragging about .....

As I've said all along, there is no track time... McLaren went to the ring to tune the battery, not to set a record. The helicopter was there in case they did, but they didn't due to tires and weather (pzeros and it rained). CG wouldn't take the risk. How it was handled publicly was a complete disaster, and those that claim there is a super secret video just made things worse.

Don't like it. It's just a flying pig

    I'd take a 918 over it anytime

I watched this today. It's great. This guy has really grown on me. Also the 918 in this video is a beautiful spec. I couldn't believe it beat the ACR so badly in a straight line. The 918 is a complete monster.

i noticed they didn't take out the front fender vents which is supposed to help with downforce. maybe they missed some other issues with the adjustable parts of acr that could make up some of the time. not that it would catch 918 but still...

Is that particular 675 modified? If not, something does not seem right about this video...the McLaren seems too fast -- almost matching the LaF's acceleration.

I read on another board that Porsche is doing a number of recalls and a programming update to the 918. Could any owner provide any detail on these?

Highly doubt it's modified because there are really very few mods available for McLarens in general, not to mention many people willing to mod a 675LT so soon, if ever.

The LT was just tested at 10.5 @ 139.7 mph, whereas I think a good speed for the P1/918/LF is around 145mph. Not that big of a difference and consistent with what you see in that video.

That video went up to a little over 200 kph, which is only 124 mph. It looks like the LF is about 6-7 mph ahead, which makes sense. An LF is only going to be able to put so much power down at low speeds and the LT is probably about 300 lbs lighter.

Power-to-weight difference between an LT and an LF isn't going to be as big as the power/looks/price would make you think. From 0-200 kph, I wouldn't expect the difference to be that big. That's only like 7-8s worth of acceleration.

Quarter mile speed for the LF is 149.1 mph as per R&T. At any rate, videos on youtube are hardly trustworthy evidence.

Definitely. Too many variables to consider. Only thing that would matter is same track/strip same day.

So about 10mph faster at the 1/4 for RT. Make sense that it's 131 mph when the LT is 124 mph since the HP plays a bigger role at the top. It will gain another 3 mph in the next 2s on the 675, which isn't hard to believe.

Speedo videos aren't accurate, but I don't see a major issue with either. I mean, even a new Turbo S will be ahead of an LF from maybe 0-75 mph. There is only so much you can do down low with RWD.
