As many may know.. I LOVE my FF (wife's actually) but we've decided that we can't do without the new Lusso. We're going to sell our '14 FF and fly to Italy to spec our new GTC4 as soon as we can get an appointment.

If anyone has suggestions on where / how to market the FF. I would appreciate the suggestions.

Sell the run of the mIll 458 (you have the speciale), keep the PF designed "limited edition" FF, and get the lusso. At least, that's what I'd consider for 2 cents.

Good thinking and not as daft as that statement 'limited edition' sounds.
PF's last icon, first of concept, limited numbers in comparison to many and to some, me included, a more elegant expression of the Shooting brake indulgence.

congrats man. what are the specs on the FF you currently have? I'm considering a 2012 right now, but also pondering stretching a little to get a 13/14 with the pano roof.

Congratulations! Speccing in Italy would be amazing!

Sell the FF back through your dealer. You might do better elsewhere but staying with your dealer could reflect positively on your chances for future special cars etc. JMHO.

I've bought and sold all my F-cars through my dealer so far but they really don't want the FF. I'm going to have to sell it another way, maybe a dealer in the Northern states?

I spec'd my Speciale at the factory and it's the only way I will do it going forward. Awesome experience!

    Congrats on the Lusso :)

Dupont Registry is a good avenue to Market and eventually sell your FF
But I would back that up with an additional ad in Auto trader and EBay listing

So you have been loyal to your dealer over the years and now they do this. Unfortunately this reinforces the reputation many dealers have earned.

I almost got a 2015 FF when i was at the dealer once the they did spec it so nice.

But then after few conversation with the manager i decided to wait for the Lusso even so he told me i can trade it back but I'm kinda attached to the cars i own.

So I told him to list me first for the Lusso.

I will spec mine after the dealer official launch.

So my suggestion get the Lusso and best of luck selling the FF it's a wonderful underestimated car really.

    My local dealer.

Since a few people have PM'd me to ask. Let me clarify the statement. It's not that they literally don't want my FF, they are simply offering a price that isn't acceptable to me. They don't sell many and have had a couple sit in the show room for 10-12 months. So they are very cautious (cheap) when it comes to trade ins.

I have a great relationship with them and if I still have it when the Lusso is delivered I will do a trade in but since I'm in no hurry to sell, I'll try selling it myself in the interim.

When are they expecting the Lusso hitting the US ? When do you expect to be able to configure the Lusso . I also agree that the FF has all the ingredients to become a collectible in the future ... Last Pininfarina , first 4x4 FERRARI and a groundbreaking design and very limited .... By the way , how many FFs , do you guys think were built in total ?

    Cheers

Wait I though the FF was in great demand because is so beautiful and the dealers were moving them like crazy at almost inflated prices?

But then again there's a 2014 offered at $180k out there...

I thought over 3000 FF, someone mentioned 4000 and overall more than 456 and 612... It will never be as collectible as a 612 OTO (400 cars?) or a manual 612 (<200 cars).

Some dealers have a 10-15% spread between trade and retail. It's just the way the game is played I suppose

I need to double check the rules of posting cars for sale before I present any details. I don't want to run amuck of any rules and get band. Info to follow shortly.

Since you're not in a hurry could you get more putting it in on consignment?

Perhaps.. having that discussion now with my dealer now. The issue is they've had FFs sit on the showroom floor for 10+ months so they are very shy about taking them. They'd take mine on consignment any day but would want to price it really low. They are also going through the huge renovations / facelit that all dealers are going through so they have almost no floor space right now.

Maybe list it on F-Chat at a realistic price you would like to achieve and then just stand firm on that price. If you get it great. If not and you feel you will take a bath either way then take a little more bath at the dealer but make a deal where you both come out winners in the end.

Listing here should give you a good idea where the private market is...
