Assuming your car is as described I think the price is fair, although I have no idea what Asian market conditions are like.

Mea Culpa. I've been informed by someone who knows these cars that those flaps were not factory.

Thank you so much. I hate to part with it but my 365 GTC/4 is just completed its restoration and I only have one parking space.

    Real nice example!

I am going to guess the engine has never been out...with all that original smog gear still in place...and a 1975...great for a CA buyer! :)

Could that be the factory color?

1975 and metallic teal seem like not the same eras?

I never knew this was an option let alone see one on a gt4. Very interesting data point.

Looking in the Dino registries, this car was "Metallic Teal" for the early entries, until Wayne Carini's F40 Motorsports listed it as "Petrol Green". Neither are original Dino colors as far as I know.

My GT4 was also originally listed as "Teal" in the registries (it's now Bianco Polo Park), and I'd love to know which one of the Ferrari colors it could have been. Verde Medio Metallizato looks like a teal under certain lighting. Same for Blu Chiaro Metallizato.

    Al, any guesses?

Spoke w/ the owner via email. This is a Mercedes factory color. And it a re-paint.

    Hence, I'm out!

Reserve met at a tick over $43K.

Can't return it to factory color, fix the rust and be right side up.

Apologies, should have asked, but as it would have made no difference to my purchase intent, did not.

I think the car is a deal on eBay!! If I did not own one I would be bidding on the car. You can always change the color back to original, especially at that price.. Does the owner have the books and tools?

From the pictures and description it looks like they have the tool and jack kit, owners pouch (period correct but not for a Dino GT4), correct looking trunk carpet, new non original interior carpet, acknowledged tear in drivers seat, and they mention they have the manual and full history on the car with maintenance records.

I think it's a decent deal if it stays in the $40-$50k. As we all know, you will put a lot more money in it.

The description says it's a European model but from the bumpers I think it's a USA model. Mirrors don't look original. Strong price, hope they get it.

Yep,there's a bit of conjecture on Aussie as to what it actually is!

Aussie prices for ANY carby car has gone nuts, pricing them to suit crappy Aussie dollar(for us),in line(nearly)with US,Euro and UK currency.

I noticed that too. I was wondering if they are referring to the engine being euro spec since Ive read that the early US models had the higher hp euro engines, and this one was a jan 75 build.

or maybe they swapped out the little euro bumpers in favor of the much safer US bumpers.

The US bumpers won't fit on a Euro body. They are too wide. That is why in reverse, body work is required on the US car to do a true Euro conversion. It is not a Euro spec car...

A guy just stopped by and rang my doorbell, asking if I was interested in selling my'75 Dino. Searchable here on FChat under my name or the s/n 10314

The engine has been rebuilt, Eric Sander at AutoGallery reconditioned the gearbox for me and I still have to complete the rebuild of the carbs. It has been sanded down with a coat of primer applied in preparation for bodywork and a coat of Blu-Dino-Met. The bumpers (orig picnic + newer style for rear), series-2 grill, doors and all of the glass have been removed. The doors have been rebuilt with all of the rust removed by Gary at Bristol, near the AutoGallery. But there's still a sizable amount of work to be done. Raphael at Arroyo (the shop for Ferrari of BH), quoted me $15K to complete the car.

I told the guy that came today, that I would consider $45K. He countered with $30K and I declined. Then $35K then $40K and I gave him my name and number and said, "Let me think about it". He went on his way, promising to get back to me on Monday. "Get ready to sell that car", he said as he left.

I haven't really considered selling it as-is, but I've been asked that question several times in IM, here on F-Chat. So I thought I'd give a heads-up.

If you're interested, speak-up; but do it quickly.
