    Nice looking car.

I wasn't aware that the F1 QP used any parts from the 599. Can you verify that? I only ask because my 2009 F1 GT-S utilizes the 599 superfast F1 transmission and I thought it was the only Maser to do so.

There is a different software on the TCU but the transmission should be about the same.
As soon as I get the 09 GT-S I'll swap the TCUs and hope to see big changes on POS and shifting times.

I don't think you'll need any new software on the 09 GT-S. The shifts are amazingly fast and precise.

I know that you know you're correct :). The duoselect F1's are not F1-S.

I think it would be the same as the early 612s as it shares the steering wheel and Bose system too

Yes, I was definitely wrong. I have now compare in detail the part numbers in between Ferrari 599, 612, Maserati GT-S and QP; below are the facts I found on my re-search as per Ricambi America parts diagrams.

1- The F1 accumulator is the same in all cars (179143)
2- The F1 power unit is the same on both Ferraris and the QP (179140)
3- The flywheels is the same on both Maseratis and the 599 (230426)
4- The clutch bearing support flange is the same on both Maseratis and the 599 (182952)
5- The F1 pump is the same on the QP and the 612 (213264)

I am not speaking factually but it spears to me that the 09 GT-S does have completely different part numbers than the other cars on the comparison, arguably higher or newer numbers. Revised numbers?

That's a nice bit of research. Would need part descriptions on many of them to make heads or tails of it all, but it's my recollection that the duoselect was a twin plate clutch assembly, which I think differs from the early 612's. But the shift times of the 599 or OTO or 09 Maser GT-S F1-Superfast are far quicker than the duoselect QP's and GT's. This from memory, just my recollection. Could well be wrong. Would be great if Terry saw this and chimed in, but probably not on his radar.

    Piper,
Below are the pictures of the diagrams on showing the most relevant parts on each system:
    1- F1 accumulator
    2- F1 Power unit
    5- F1 Pump

The similarities in between the Ferraris and the Maseratis is evident just by looking at the graphs.

I just wanted to update the thread with the latest findings.
I swap the TCU from my 2009 GT-S into my 2007 QP S-GT and the QP would not recognize the TCU.
From under the car the only obvious difference in between them two is the F1 fluid cooler on the GT-S.
Below are the pictures of the two TCUs.
