No idea if those headers are original or not, mine have bungs for gas-testing, but the configuration seems correct. Not so for the part after them, you have separate silencers instead of a communal centre one (as do I) This is not optimal for a cross-plane crank V-8.

Btw, did you pick the car up with a forklift?

    Best,

    Jack.

    Hello Otto,

Apologies for the late reply, I was travelling and didn't access F-chat even once!

I sent a sample of the fabric to a friend in Modena, he will look if he can find a supplier. So far it appears that Campana have several colours except this one, so we'll have to look further.

If I come up with something, I'll let you know.

    Best,

    Jack.

    Thanks Jack,
The right tool for the right job.
We weren't trying to prove how strong our bottom end was,
It had been stored in a corner, against a wall with all doors locked and
We were desperate to move it, so
Did the job and really got great look at the entire bottom side.
Luckily stored in heated garage all those years so other than a few
    Italian spiders, wonderful.

Like to see a full view of what the crossover? Looks like?
I could do something like on my Vet.
    Also:

How were the serial numbers issued?
One run for on the continent, and another completely different series for stateside cars?
    Just wondering

    Welcome to the forum Andrew,
Your Khamsin side marker lights look very much like those on my US spec Bora. From your question, I assume you are looking for replacements? whether it's the lenses or chrome plastic housing, the place to ask is MIE in Seattle, I just bought sets for my Bora from them.

When you are ready for a nice long drive in the countryside, I welcome you up to see me and the Bora at one of the Hemmings shows at Saratoga Springs. The Sports and Exotic show this year is August 7th. I'll touch base if I head down your way. We've got the same Citroen stuff.

    Cheers,
    - Art

In a perfect world I would ****can the whole bogus US adaptation of the classic Bertone design, but money is a concern, so just trying to get what is there in good state of repair.
It is the passenger side rear plinth or surround? The center portion seems solid. Looks like Alfa Romero stuff? Know your area well as my best friend went to Skidmore and spent many an hour driving the NYST and north way. Also attended lot of shows, but mostly English and German
    Cheers

I wonder what the news is. I hope you will tell us that Maserati will introduce a new Khamsin in Geneva next week, and that the Levante was just contrived as a diversion.... :)

Hahahah, no sorry, the news is not that big and has nothing to do with new cars. Am traveling in an hour but will finally catch up to the slew of recent posts from Geneva this weekend.

By the way I will be at the Geneva show on the first public day, Thursday March 3rd, if anybody plans to be there let me know. I may also be in town next weekend but am not going to the show during the weekend, too crowded, so I could meet anybody visiting in the city.

    Best regards,

    Marc

The size of the tanks is more for packaging and style. Cars like the Khamsin are styled first engineered latter. The main tank is a neat solution and follows the side profile of the car. To extend the range the other 20liter tank is a neat solution.

The Headers and the center mufflers are definitely aftermarket. Same as the original is an extremely durable colonel steel which has a tendency to crack but is easily repaired.
And as I did has new stainless insulated shields fitted.

    Hi Roger,

Well I prefer to let those focused on tech maters comment but the air entry hoses are missing and some hoses on the left of engine bay are not usually there...

    Hello AMLC

Little is known about this car because it just did not surface much. Sold new by MTC cars in London November 21, 1977. It was offered in an H & H auction in 2002 and failed to sell, then was in a Coys auction. that is it.

Likely needs a sleeping beauty wake up call and the photos with partially deflated tire, dirty are not a good omen...despite the engine rebuild so I have asked for more info.

    Hello Richard!

    Hope you are well.

Here is the Khamsin driving 101, page 5. I wrote this a few years ago with perhaps a bt too much emphasis but it is all there. Again cars have been damaged due to people not knowing these essentials ask Joe C about his Khamsin from hell and its disastrous unloading off the ship when it arrived in the US.

    Hello, goddag,

No 398 the silver car and 082 the emerald green car (non original color but gorgeous) the two cars shown in your two posts were bought at the same time in December 2014 and went to Holland.

    Hello Andy,

Any Rolls Royce dealer has LHM becaue from the mid 60's to the mid 90's RR used the Citroen LHM system. LHM is cheap just make usre you don't even think of replacing it with any other fluid, aviation LHM or brake fluid (which some shade tree mechanics have put in the system thinking if it is green gee wiz must be brake fluid) utterly ruins the system.

Here are, unless there are two K's in that unusual blue in the US northeast, photos of your car from a few years ago, at the 2007 Greenwich concours.

I recall that you had also contacted me a year or three ago. I would avoid using a forklift at all costs because you can do substantial damage, in fact many K's have crushed floors due to improper jacking.

There is a garage in the northeast that is good with Khamsins a Citroen place: Dave Burnham but if you ask the questions here you ca get great tech help.

Regarding bumper conversion that chapter will be back in my website as soon as my webmaster can it is next on the list, hopefully this coming week.

There will be good news about one particular Khamsin in a week or so, can't say more.

This concludes my catching, up, very sorry for all the posts:)

    Have a good Sunday everyone,

    Marc

    Hi AMLC and MS

I had these two pictures of the car I could attribute to 371 because of the Registration number beeing mentioned in the H&H auction results.

    Hi Marc

So it is effectively a very early car! Thanks for filling me in!

You know of course there is a similar early car in silver, which must be a different serial number though. It has the wipers on the left (or right, in driving direction, if you prefer).

But maybe it is the same one that found its way to the scrapyard.
