Morning all, Has anyone in the UK recently replaced their battery? My last one was a Bosch S3 which has been fitted since Nov 07, so it has done well!! That particular one is no longer listed so I need a good quality replacement, does anyone have a make and model no. they can recommend please? Thanks Phil
Hi Phil I've had a Bosch 069 in use for the last 3yrs and it's been fine. I don't trickle charge when not in use but I do have an isolator, it still has good charge. Hope that helps Robert
Hi Phil, Not sure if this will help, but here goes... I had a new battery installed 09/2013 in the US that the invoice referenced as simply "Group 34R Battery". My 308 was shipped to Europe in 2014 and the battery was somehow totally buggered in the process (along with other bits... highly annoying!). The local shop in Germany could not revive the battery, so replaced it in 06/2015 with what the invoice referenced as a Bosch S3 (12V 56Ah). I just checked this and it is indeed a Bosch battery with the following: S3 006 12V 556 401 048 480A (EN) 56Ah 0 092 S30 060 I think that this is available in the UK: BOSCH BOSCH Starterbatterie | 12V / 56Ah (0 092 S30 060) buy cheap online Hope this helps and also if any experts want to chime in with comments on a better battery, these would be most welcome.
