Guys very excited to be the new owner of this 1997 F355 GTB. However straight to service for a major so will have continue to wait a little longer. Also thanks to all on this forum who have been very helpful and available in answering questions, concerns, etc. and helping me make this decision. In particular CT Stackhouse & Fast_Plane_Eddie. Congrats. Looks great! I like the color Patience. Make it right in the winter....run like hell in the summer! Fill in your profile. Where you at?
Congrats once again John! I'm glad I was able to be of help, navigating the 355 market is not easy at first. You will be enjoying the car in no time so good thing you're having it serviced now
Welcome and congrats! I'm ~4 months in myself, with a major due in about a year. Learning with every drive (and loving it).
Thanks again guys I'll post more pics with the engine out and the major as the car progresses and definitely when she arrives home. I'll probably have more questions and sure will need more advice as I move forward. Thanks again!
Congrats! I can't help notice the F50 on the lift. I think I have seen an F50 on a lift in almost every garage shot lately. LOL
Very nice F355, and good call picking one up. Also, nice that you are getting the major service completed. Looking forward to photos of the project. Boca is a spot I visit each year to see family, and I hope to see you enjoying your 355 as well!
Congrats! I hope it will be a great car for you. BTW Fast_Plane_Eddie how have you been liking your car? Funny how I was happy that you bought it before I was able to see it because you saved me the cost of buying another F car. But then I went and spent even more on a Scud last month. There is no way to save money once you get addicted to F cars, haha. I still want a 355. And I kind of want a manual 360 too. All the V8 F cars are amazing to me. I even want a 348, I don't care what anyone says about it...
I'm loving it, I put about 800 miles on it in 2 weeks and will put another 100-200 this weekend lol. Now, let's talk about your Ferrari V8 addiction...haha
Nice! Glad you're enjoying it and that it's been reliable so far. There are too many naysayers out there that say that the 355 breaks down every month. Doug from Jalopnik is always saying that and he's always wrong. V8 Ferraris are so addicting because they're so perfect. They're small and light like a Porsche 911. But they're so much more special than any Porsche 911. I honestly don't understand how any gearhead who likes sports cars can go without a V8 Ferrari if he or she can afford to buy one.
