Are you sure they are not 390mmm metric wheels?

These are all off 308s of various years, the casting date is in code on the back.

I am painting a THIRD set, in Valeria's garage!

There's a loose Campy in there, too.

Depends on who made the 14" star wheels, Cromodora or Campagnolo? And also rim width (6 1/2" or 7 1/2")? Campys below. I heard it was common that even with the option of 7 1/2" X 14" star wheels, the spare was always a 6 1/2".

Agreed! They look right and chances are they'll be old before they're worn out.

I can also say the new XWX made in Serbia is different than the ones made in France when the cars were new. The newer version is made of a different compound, different plys and they weigh about 8lbs less each.

    Beautiful!
Is the black stripe painted or decal on your car, by the way?

Well that's a good point. Many including myself, have changed the wheels to find more affordable/modern tires trying to avoid wearing out expensive XWX when the reality is that most tires on our cars are replaced due to age not wear.

Exactly so why not have it look right instead? No different than over-paying to get the right tools or jack kit instead of sears door crasher specials (which is better than OEM)

Big Tex: I note that you have three sets of 14" 71/2 inch wheel, but I am not sure if that means they are for sale.
I am interested in buying one set, but perhaps my PM didn't reach you. Kindly let me know.

Maybe......but at this point I would want huge money..

I am trading one set, for the 16" QV rims...in China.

I bought so many as the Texas roads are pure crap and I was trying to insure for breakage.
Any spare part in your garage, will never be needed!!!

    Let me think it over.

    That's one reason....

    F1 Indianapolis would be another.

    That's a 19 hour drive, from Texas.
A long way, to drive back, after watching six cars participate.

There are three different spec XWXs available:

    205/70VR14

    205VR14

    215/70VR14

Which would be correct for a 1975 GT4 with standard wheels?

    Thanks.

    Jack

Thanks, Erik. That agrees with the information in Bluemel's book.

    Hi

    Ferrari Dino Tyres

Early cars fitted 185R14. but the majority want to fit the 205/70VR14 Michelin XWX

the 205VR14 XWX is for the 275GTB and is 42mm taller

The 215/70VR14 XWX is 450SEL Mercedes and the back of an early Countach and is 14mm taller and 12mm wider.

As Dougal correctly points out, "standard" rims were the 14" x 6.5" wide, the 185R14 would be for that..I would think.

The wider (more common now) optional 7.5" wide wheels is where you see the 205/70VR14s...

    Thanks, Dougal.

I hope not. I'm getting those for my 6.5x14s. Presumably they'll fit.
