Freaking awesome. The rear trunk area is beautiful. The wing integrates perfectly into the engine cover and looks really like a wing. I like the new spoiler in front as it make the nose look thinner and lighter.

When you lift up the rear deck you have to look deep inside to see the engine which is down low. I don't see any need for a glass cover back there. This turbo engine is really hidden in tubes and wires running around. The 458 has a cleaner engine compartment.

I saw the car in the new blue metallic color with an all black interior. Unbelievable.

This car is super hot looking.

Has anyone on the board received their 488 spider yet and maybe can post up some pics? Mine is coming end of April and the wait is killing me.

Thanks for the pictures - looks like titanio - love these cars in that colour. Love the back view also - probably the best Ferrari rear at the moment particularly from that picture angle.

The 488 spider is nice. Especially the rear fasciam But am I the only one that thinks the rear deck/engine cover looks better in the 458 spider??? The 488 deck looks plain imo

The 488's rear deck is a great improvement over the 458's. Beautiful lines, slick and modern.

No, I agree with you. Additionally, with those dark gray plastic trim pieces on the 488 lid you will likely want to change these to carbon fiber which just added what I am guessing is at least 3K and maybe as much as 5K to the price. Throw in the rear light surround/vents likely also needing cf and you just added 10K to the cost of the car. Not saying you HAVE to buy these as cf. Just saying that in dark gray plastic they do not add to the look of the car. IMO

I'm sorry that the blown rear spoiler necessitated doing away with the "hammerhead" shape of the engine lid. It looks very dramatic when open, and it was the basis of the very distinctive center stripe on the rear of the 458 Speciale Aperta. Fred

Anyone on the board has received his/her spider yet? Just wondering what the wheel gap is like on the spider, with my 458 spider I had to install the Novitec springs to give the car the proper stance.

Please clarify for me. Are there 2 "special" blues available?
Blue corsa and blue metallic or these the same? Thanks.

Yea that looks proper. Mine sits too high. But I must admit it's much easier to drive around town this way.

That's too low. The wheels now have an odd relationship with the wheel arches.
