Hi Guys, Sorry for the noob question, but is there a site that efficiently shows all the times for each day? Like a stat site? I'm subscribed to F1 site/app and that site is just a mess....really could use a better format.
I've been all over the map over the years. Some times ESPN is OK, other times Motorsport seems to cover it pretty well. (I have a digital subscription to the latter - just downloaded it for the interview with LdM, good reading.) BUT, I *always* return to the Autosport site at the end of the day; Barcelona F1 test: Kimi Raikkonen and Ferrari top Thursday running - F1 - Autosport It may be my British heritage, but to me at least nobody covers it quite like those guys. Cheers, Ian
Yes, constant strives for improvement is good, but this halo stuff is utter nonsense. It's not longer F1 it's some form of what F1 is. F1 is an open cockpit, anything else is not.
Drivers, except massa, tend to agree; that open cockpit racing should be just that open cockpit racing. And with open cockpit racing comes risks, risks they are all willing to accept. Hamilton's own reaction was a face palm, nuff said. This is some bs... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Really? Rosberg 'all for' halo protection - PlanetF1 : PlanetF1 http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/14891646/halo-only-practical-solution-2017-renault-bob-bell Another link - Some concerns but it appears to be accepted that it will happen in some form - http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/10190278/nico-rosberg-and-christian-horner-split-on-f1s-new-halo-device The drivers asked as a group and support cockpit modification for protection after multiple fatal incidents in IRL and F1. Its coming and wont end F1.
Last day!! Will Mercedes show their true pace or hint at it?? Lewis Hamilton says Mercedes haven't stretched W07 to limit yet | F1 News
Hamilton said, and I quote, "this is the worst mod in F1 history. I appreciate the quest for safety but this is F1 and the way it is now is perfectly fine."
Its true what Enzo said about drivers that become fathers. The fact that they have to bring in other open cockpit racing series fatalities to beef up the numbers says it all.
Just in case anyone forgot: 2015 time for Rosberg 2/27/2015 : 1.22.792 (S) 2016 time for Raikkonen 03/03/2016 : 1.23.009 (S) W07 hasn't shown even a little of its hand yet
Who says Ferrari has? We need to focus a bit less on times since everyone still is on a completely different programme. We don't know if Ferrari's fastest time is set with 10 liters of fuel or 100, or what their engine setting was, how fast they really went...and so on. If we look at it a bit more intelligently, we see that Mercedes is indeed in formidable shape with barely any hiccups. If we take the times of last year, Williams would be the one fighting Mercedes quite hard, and Ferrari looking from a distance. Truth is that Ferrari won 3 races last year on merit. Judging purely on testing, Rosberg should've walked away with the title, leaving Hamilton frothing at the mouth in a straight jacket in a mental hospital. And lastly...comparing times driven on different years, different temperature, track quality etc...we can't call these times an exact science.
