355 Major Service

Hey all, i have a 1995 355 Berlinetta. Looking to get a major done. Looking for a very reputable place and not looking to break the bank. Any suggestions in NY, NJ or CT area? Thanks so much.

 

Understand a 355 is an engine out major. Expect $5K plus "while your in there" issues so it might climb to $10K depending on the prior owner's deferred maintenance.

Pete and Luigi at UAS will do a great job. 2 other places you'd be in "superb hands" are Tommy Passalacqua at P1 and Leo Garcia at Miller. I've had Leo take care of my 355 and Miller might be interested in making you a deal on the project given it's wintertime

Don't forget to consider Ferrari of Long Island, that's where I had mine done. 4 trouble free years after that with not even a CEL.

 

I would think that any wintertime discounts would have been had 2, 3, 4 months ago...getting into the 60's this week- most shops will be getting swamped right about now! My guess is most shops would be hard pressed to be able to get an engine out scheduled and then fully completed in the next 2-3 months due to the pipeline filling up? I'd start calling around today to get the car back ASAP when that first taste of spring is in the air

His is a 1995 so OBD1, CEL's are rarer on OBD1 cars than OBD2 cars....

 

Incorrect info. My car was a 1999 Fiorano with F1. The service by Ferrari LI was impeccable without one light CEL for 4 years. I would highly recommend them. Ed Hoene is the service mgr and Michael is an amazing tech with 30+ years of exp on what are now considered the vintage cars. His family owned the Ferrari dealer in great neck, pre dating glen cove. A true master. I believe they are still running a Vintage Pricing program. You can't go wrong with service by a licensed dealer.
