I bought the pre-seasoned Tuscan pork tenderloin from Costco.... Gonna pan sear and roast it with white wine and mushrooms and let you know....
I have a problem! If we can go to the moon and then return and plan on making Mars a potential habitat why can't we invent "scratch and sniff" tech???
Meatball sandwich the other day. Pretty tasty but I ate late so I got bloated bad after. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I usually steer away from pre-seasoned stuff but that sure looks like it came out well. Oh and I agree that smell-O-vision would be a great invention for this thread!!!
I assure you both were very tasty. For lunch I had an amazing jerk chicken. Seriously best I've ever had. Well earned for the crazy work days. I just finished paperwork right now.
Prime rib sandwich and onion rings. Skipped the movie, saw everything good. I'm in a Chinese food mood. Buying a pork tenderloin and making a sister in law style stir fry tonight.
Still have a small batch of mom's homemade tartar sauce so went bachelor... Image Unavailable, Please Login
The sweet potato puffs look tasty. Frozen fish is why I bought a deep fryer. That and burning my parents kitchen down making fish sticks! I needed mixed vegetables for my pork stir fry. Flippin people up the street, keep having film crews filming stuff. The trucks take up half the street. Turns into a one lane. Its a dead end street and my house is the middle. They parked a truck in my drive way. They had a car parked in the middle of the line of trucks. Took 10 minutes to move the darn car and another 20 to move the big a$$ truck. My driveway is very long, or I would just parked my truck behind theirs. I politely complained. Its just annoying but not worth blowing a gasket over. Same people host weddings, corporate events and run a B&B. All spring and summer their traffic causes us the neighbors a hassle. They wonder, actually sent a letter blasting whoever complained about them to the city.
It was just ok, not the same without her. Not sure if anything will ever taste the same again without her "special seasoning".
I took out the lamb loin chops I had in the freezer. I bought them from a local purveryor at one of the farmer's markets last year. I bought some mixed baby potatoes and threw them with some onion and garlic in a bowl and tossed with S&P, some melted butter, and basil. Tossed them in the oven to bake. Then I put the four little chops in a bowl and threw on some olive oil, S&P, basil, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Threw them in a hot pan with a touch of butter and browned 'em up. A little fresh lemon juice at the end kind of deglazed the pan and made almost a sauce. Came out very tasty. Didn't snap any pics, was busy eating before I had to head in to work. Still have half left for a good lunch tomorrow.
Tom, I am planning a trip to Marlin to visit my "brother" James, his cancer has returned, in the next few weeks but you might be able to coerce me into a home cooked meal....one hot and a cot before "get out before I call the police!"
Marlin, Texas? Good barbecue there. Whoops, I think, is the name. Hope your brother beats this scourge...T
Yep Marlin just south of Waco. Just thought I would take the chance and proposition you and your boss, maybe some other time.
Lol. My wife would have both of us sleeping on the couch! Working my way up the Scoville scale trying to make a salsa that's a good combo of heat & sweet. Last week it was cascabel peppers. 1500 - 2500 SHU. All sweet. This week, Fresno chilies. 2500 - 10,000 SHU. De-seeded. Left most of the membrane. Chopped them up. Mix in a can of tropical fruit salad. Puree with a stick blender. Reducing on the stove now. It's OK, but thus far, more sweet than heat. Next stop, jalapeno? habanero? Bhut jolokia? 🔥🔥🔥 The homemade salsa verde worked out well. Chop tomatillos. Puree. Add garlic and onion powder. Since I didn't have onions in the fridge, I used the powder. As, the salsa verde didn't have the sweet from the sauteed onions, it was uber tart, so I remedied by adding a little blue agave syrup. Trying these out tonight on turkey tacos! With homemade guac...T
Left over stir fry. With the filming on my street, it take 10 to 30 minutes to get out of my driveway. They keep leaving cars in the middle of the street. Can't get around them. Every time I go out a car is blocking and the film people can't find the driver. So decided I'm not going out. 3 more days of these invaders.
Hhhmmm, homemade salsa would be a good idea. Along with guac. I have a few Mexican friends, they make everything pretty much homemade. Very good stuff. Most of the store bought salsa and guacs suck. There was both at Costco very good, but don't think they carry them. Its actually a Costco item I miss. The others are frozen burritos and they had a chocolate fudge cake that was too die for.
