    I'm curious to know what people think the market will be for the mid engine track oriented f cars (speciale/scud/challenge) in the future 10 to 20 years. Based off my casual observation of the scud and challenge stradale it seems like in the initial 5 to 7 years after their release they settle around $150 to $170 and then after that start to gradually gain value. I remember a rosso challenge stradale for sale in my area a few years ago for $155 and now it's hard to find one for below $250. Same with the scud. Just 2 summers ago the majority sat in the $160 to $190 range and currently only the ones with 20k plus miles are under $200. Of course it's too early to look at the speciale. Is this a trend with these limited models or is each car and it's specific year a different story? Also how much higher in value to you see these cars going?

    I hope that they will increase or at least keep their value...I just bought a 458 Speciale. ...frankly speaking I drove many cars , also racing and track cars, and I was impressed by the Speciale....perso I think that on top of my pleasure to drive it it is a "good" investment...

    It's a total crapshot and it's anyone's guess. Also, remember that recessions aren't a one time thing. They're cyclical. Not saying one's coming or even a big one, but there is a lot more at play here than just the cars themselves. Car prices have crashed before and they'll crash again. When? Who knows.

    Yes, I agree. Recession can come any moment. That's why I'm afraid of if I jump into a Speciale from my Spider.

    tho I too am bored with the future pricing trends, I do fully understand why folks are asking.

    Spending $400k on a toy in uncertain financial times is risky. Personally, I would wait until this winter before adding any toys. Maybe mid 2017.

    It would be very hard to make an argument for any significant price increases on 'collectible cars' at present. Watch the Hagerty pricing guides.

    Who knows? Too many variables. Any model made in limited numbers will be worth more than their more numerous ordinary counterparts. Captain Obvious speaks.

    CS will worth more than a F1, Scud will worth more than a Carrera GT
    While Speciale will be cheaper than a 430 cause too many of them
    thats what i learn from the "hard core" Ferrari owners here.....

    supply and demand will always dictate market price

    speciale is an amazing car but with 3200+ made (apparently) it would have to sustain high demand to appreciate/retain value.

    if it truly is the last mid engined N/A ferrari, then 3200 is not enough. :)

    The emission and noise regulations are unlikely to change any time soon, so TT and hybrid will most likely be the V8's Ferrari uses moving forward making all models pre 488's the last NA versions.

    Recessions are a recurring event. Technically speaking we are due already.
    Drive and enjoy and don't worry.
    Or, sit out and wait....all these toys drop in value before rising again. It's just timing.

    Only the new and exciting NSX will go up in value.
