I would happily accept a TDF no matter the type of CF used on the interior The black car with the CdF stripe and gold wheels looks amazing. Very well done!
Matte finish for carbon fiber has been around for a long time, Ferrari has been offering it before the 599 GTO, and surely has nothing to do with the grigio opaco roof of the GTO. Any carbon part can be ordered cleared or tinted, gloss or matte. And you go with matte inside for the same reason you don't put a light contrasting stitching on the top of the dashboard, to avoid annoying reflections in the windshield. Even seen a McLaren with gloos inside ? Nope, and there's a very good reason for that. Outside is just a matter of taste, although I'd be concerned by how well a matte finish can handle long sun exposure. UV protecting coat are much better today than 10 years ago, but the last thing I would want is my outside carbon fiber turning yellow...
Errrrr What about the Mclaren P1 And the Chiron? That makes it at least 4 with Matt carbon. In the P1 as in the tdf it fits the character of the car! In the good old days of F 50 all this spec stuff did not exist! Did anyone miss it? Not really. If they would have said the tdf comes only in pink I still would have taken it! Was out this afternoon. Adrenalin pure! Still got to be careful with the tires. If someone wants glossy carbon and full leather seats just go and do it. No big deal. As long as the car is driven and does not end up being a garage queen!
elipinski- did you select the plaque from the options list and if so was it the "dedication plate" option? also, where exactly is it place on your gorgeous tdf? thank you in advance!
E - Absolutely beautiful. Well done! Am I reading correctly that top speed achieved was 213mph on a car with less than 84 miles on it? You really couldn't wait!
Whilst I am not that convinced on the stripe, without finishing it off down the rear, it sort of appears incomplete, but then you get a sort of crucifix muddle going on with the carbon strip and many horizontal lines crossing the stripe, so on reflection, without!
Without. A wide rear stripe gives the car too much of a I hate to say it a kit or a shelby mustang look. A definite no in my book and totally unnecessary.

I had always worked to a clear rear. However the factory knowing I had based my scheme on the '61 Le Mans car supplied an alternative render with the full stripe to the rear, in keeping with car #14.
