You can skip the lifter in the f12 and then delete the adaptive lights and save yourself 10k. I'd also skip the insulated windshield. It's made for the Middle East with temps in the 120s. Not needed in the USA. The hifi sucks for 6k. The standard is worse but if you enjoy music you would be much better off spending 6 k at a custom shop to swap out the amp and change out the speakers which is undetectable visually but would sound miles better. JBL audio is the worst.

Remember any options will be worth about 20cents on th Dollar when you sell.

Regarding the lift, I may drop the car 30mm with Novitec sport springs. I have my 458 dropped that much and manage my driveway fine and it doesn't have a lift. Does the F12 have more overhang on the nose making it more vulnerable to scraping versus the 458 ?

Yes, the F12 overhang is more than the 458's. Therefore, given the same scenario, it will be more susceptible to scraping as compared to the 458. The lifter (ELEV) *can* be very useful in the F12. And if you get the lifter, that automatically adds AFS1 as others already pointed out.

As for the heat-insulating windscreen (HAW1), I remember a Ferrari representative telling me that it reduces incoming heat by a little over 50%. If that is indeed the case, then I think it's nice to have because it'll keep the interior leather a bit more protected from the sun.

Okay...perhaps I will drop the heat insulating glass. I really don't live in a hi heat environment and the car does not sit in the sun very often if ever. I seem to recall someone telling me the glass is less prone to chips with the HAW1 glass. I think it was a Speciale owner. Lift is staying.

Thank you Daniel. Maximizing Ferrari Experience bandwidth as you say wins the day. ;)

One slight tweak to the build would be Rosso Calipers instead of black standard and change the stitching to Rosso. Not sure which I like better. Rosso calipers/stitch is a bit spicier in look.

You're doing the right thing Christian!

Allow me a sassy remark; I'm not a fan of colored calipers, I wonder till today how this trend could arise, for me a useless pseudo sportiness statement from the former tuning scene. Or do you see that somewhere on a race car?

I know, your beautifuly 458 has yellow calipers. Therefore please do not be angry with me... ;)

I'm used to red calipers that were on my 996 and 991 Porsche GT3's with steel brakes. Ironically, their ceramic brake options are yellow calipers. I think the stock matte black caliper looks good. Low key.

They looks very good, extremely good!

IMO the F12 has such a beautiful and dynamic shape, he does not need this gimmick...

I would go standard black brake calipers (and that is from someone who has yellow brake calipers on his FF...), and yes I would still drop the premium stereo...

I'm voting for black calipers, from your renderings, the car seems to flow better. If you are planning on driving the car any where for a period of time, the better stereo is a good idea.
And the lift system in this car is helpful, I didn't realize you need the AFS system to get it, so yes, the lift (and hence the AFS) should stay.

    Cheers,

    Ron

On that same note, I say cancel the shields. They are like seeing tattoos on a very beautiful woman. They ruin the look, are ugly and out of place on such a beautiful car as the F12. IMO.

If any caliper colours other than flat black, go with gloss black. Not a fan of coloured calipers.

It sucks for $5000, I'm going to switch mine out with a real system here soon.

I have the lift , car lives in Beverly Hills and still scrapes in some spots. It's necessary here, depends where you are planning to drive it.

    The tattoo's are cool :)

I do agree about the shields, I made sure I didn't get them. They should be included in the price.

If you're thinking about resale one day, I would go with the shields and the yellow calipers, otherwise nice spec.

Please don't do red callipers, it totally ruins, IMHO, a lovely spec and totally detracts the eye from the lines of the car with a colour that has nothing to do with the outside anywhere.
