The sound of the car! That's whats good about the video. Interesting that they wouldn't use today's bound, gagged and muffled, low revving 6 cylinder, overly tech=laden, snooze-fest power plants.
Oh, and the barriers aren't real.

They made a nice commercial. It would be nice if they also made a fast and reliable car...

Well so far it looks reliable, and faster than last year, at least fast enough to not be at the back anymore...

LOL I was thinking the exact same thing. What makes you say the barriers aren't real? Is it just a production overlay?

I'm pretty sure they're actually 'there' on the track. But maybe they're some kind of foam rather than truly concrete crash barriers?

However, the shots of them lifting 'em with the crane look pretty real to me too. If they were foam they'd be blowing around all over the place - It's *always* windy at Silverstone (an old aerodrome remember ;)) & they'd have got blown away..... I guess maybe the tape we see them using for marking their locations is to hold them down, but I'm not convinced.....

    Cheers,
    Ian

I´d say the barriers were real but made of foam, that would allow them to make several takes if Button screwed it at some point. You know: maybe they don´t give a f*** about the integrity of the car and driver, but the damn promo video has to be done on time. The shots of the crane lifting the barriers could be easily faked later with real concrete.

The crane lifted real barriers, the ones he drove between are CGI
