I was only being a bit cynical. You have two magnificent cars. My pair is a 550 Maranello and a 1970 Fiat 500 and I definitely wouldn't park the Fiat on top.

When I purchased my 550 the clutch was pretty heavy.
(I also had a problem with my left knee) I was told by my technician Kevin at Penske-Wynn Ferrari that when the clutch gets heavy it's a sign that might need to be changed in the near future. he took me over to another 550 with a new clutch and I could feel a world of difference. So I decided to just go ahead and change it. Even though I'm very easy on clutches and it probably could've lasted quite a while, it was one of the smartest things I have ever done. I have had the new clutch in the car for about eight years and around 50k miles and it still feels perfect. This might be the answer for you and your wife.
Eventually I had a knee replacement which is another one of the smallest things I ever did.
    Anyway just my $.02.
    Cheers,
    Bill

I have 11' and 12' ceilings. This is what I went with. The 550 is on the top right and the F40 is the only one not in the garage. The 348 Challenge and the F40 should be the ones on top and the 360 and 550 on the bottom.

That wet spot is because I mopped the floor earlier. It's clean but the paint is degraded.

The platforms themselves are supposed to have some give to them. They build it in and it's supposed to be about a 2" drop from the post side to the open side. However, my garage isn't perfectly flat and between that and the angle of the picture, it exaggerates the effect in pics. But when I stand next to them and inspect them, they're pretty level.

    :)

Well, the way it was explained to me is that I have a choice. This lift has 2" of sag engineered into the platforms. A lot of people want them to look perfectly level when they're in the air so they cant the platform so that its level under the load. The problem with that is that when it has no load and you want to put a car on it, one side sticks up in the air 2". I have a strangely slanted garage and the lifts are angled to the center for ease of ingress/egress. That's a lot of wild card. As it is now, the platforms are perfectly level with no load so that I can get my low cars on and off with no drama and no issues. The consequence is that I put up with the 2" sag with them raised. I can live with that. And I don't have posts cluttering up my garage and ruining my maneuverability. As I said, you don't notice they're not level when you see them in person. The whole package works great for me and my needs.

Oh, these are from American Custom Lifts and they're made by Gemini in Texas. American steel and American made. The best there is.

After living with an E-type for a while, I would definitely be more worried about an E type dripping all of its fluids on my Ferrari than the stability of my lifts. :)
