Yes. The old liveries flowed with and complemented the cars lines. Some of them don't work well today because cars designs are completely different and more complex.

When you have that many yellow cars, at some point you will go wild with a spec out of sheer boredom.

Key word is slavishly. Sometimes they don't turn out well but at least they are different and interesting in a different sort of way. I think they are much intriguing than the usual wimpy colour choice and Nero interior like a lot of specs.

I think that is brilliant. It's one of those things that make you kind of uneasy at first but after a while it looks fantastic merely from the point of creativity/depth of connoisseurship.

But the reinterpretation is half the fun. The whole point of racing livery was to distinguish the road version from the race version of the same model. Nowadays you could technically argue that all livery is redundant as the modern cars aren't actually raced.

Agree but in a way they look great. At least in some cars like the 599 GTO with the Belgium livery (Silver, white circles on the doors and the yellow stripe!)

I didn't understand from the picture that the exterior's colour is actually alcantara! Not a fun.

    Very beautiful and different.

That stripe effect makes it look like an Aston Martin.

With that being said I do like what 'e' did with the ribbon effect across the hood on his black tdF.

Also the pale blue F12 with the yellow borderless stripe running the length of the car was far superior to the Bamford effort as a color combination and design result.

Showed e's pic to Mrs Camlet. She asked what does the shiny stuff do and how much will it cost. Big mistake. No shiny stuff for me lol.

    THE mistake.

Order it, and never show her what's under the hood.

Just tell her for safety reasons the hood can't be opened on this very special model.

Your build is going to be great and I want to see CF under the hood. I'm sorry but you have to find a way.

Buy her a Carbon fiber coated handbag

I have never understood why folks fail again and again to respect the most basic rule: consult your wife on matters pertaining to anything you can think of, BUT NEVER EVER when it comes to cars.

It will systematically create tension and then arguments over everything from aesthetics to money and will end up with the "why do you need a 200 mph car and what for"....

Stay clear of the trap! My wife asked me how many cars I (note not we) had, and the safest reply was that I wasn't sure😌😌😌😌

    End of conversation!!!!!

hahahaha.......you've clearly not met my wife. I would be hung, drawn and quartered (a very British death). In fairness, when I was building my business she ran everything at home like clockwork, including our great kids. So she'll always have a deserved and key vote :)

Or it's simply none of her business....if you run the operation and just let her think she does, then never an issue

@chalstrad : ahahahaha I clearly sense some personnal history... It must have happened between your 5th and 6th ferrari car...

You've become an expert in Wife Management for incurable petrolheads.

Peter, tell my everything you know about futur ferraris or I'll send her a Mail with the detailed list of ferraris you own.
