Sorry, I haven't had a chance to get some better photos of my car, but it looks really cool with the factory "Rosso Maranello Opaco". Everyone wants to touch it; which is a pain in the butt since it shows fingerprints really easy. :)

I also included a couple photos from when the car was at the dealership. For what it's worth, enjoy.

Curious about the tri-layer+opaco... does it change upon light direction as a gloss tri-layer would do?

I want to touch it :) Is the final finish smooth or grainy?

I didn't think you could get the stripe on matte paint. That is a unique look among a sea of Rosso Corsa!

It does change color slightly at different angles but not nearly as much as the tri-color paint I have seen. As for the finish, it's a little grainy. It's really something you want to feel and I still do it when nobody is looking :) But it's a pain to wash. You have to make sure you don't use any soap that will fill in the matte surface. You also can't wax the car. I use a UV protectant and that is it.

I will try to get some other photos of the outside and interior, soon.

Have you thought about a matte wrap and then perhaps you could wax that? I thought about matte as the affect can be quite dramatic and, if I had, would have matte wrapped it also?I think Expel do a matte.

Yeah he could use Xpel Stealth PPF that turns the stock color into matte.

+1.... I used the Xpel Stealth on my R8 GT...the finish is Matte suzuka Gray. Had the Xpel put on the complete hood, bumper, rockers, and carbon Side Blades.

the finish matches the factory matte almost perfectly.. NO one has been able to see the difference between the covered and uncovered portions of car.
