I took this photo of 2321 GT 26 years ago, in August 1989, at the AvD-Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in Germany. It was later repainted yellow. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login

Finally, the restoration is now complete. The car was recently presented by Classiche. A Ferrari rises from the ashes Question: What is the version of the car today? it does not match the version "Mille Miglia 52"...can you confirm the car restored by Classiche is now conform with your documents / pics ?
Not just the nose and grille is wrong, other elements too. Plus the color combination as well. All very frustrating but not really surprising. Marcel Massini
Can you share a period image of the 'correct' nose treatment? The nose seems to take most of the abuse. I can think of several restored cars were the nose is not faithfully reproduced. Specifically the grill opening shape. Sadly it changes in a subtle way the whole character of the car compared to the original design...
Just some examples. And there are many more. The LM is terrific ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great before and after pictures you provide here! Amazing how the subtle and in some cases not so subtle design differences change the 'look' of the car...
The 290MM # 0628 is currently on display at Museo Enzo Ferrari (Modena). The front section seems more in conformity with the original than the pictures above.. recents pics (last week) : https://www.theferrarista.com/forum-ferrari/topic/4859-maranello-museo-passage-%C3%A9clair/?page=10#comment-501365
