What he said. Looks like a slice of fatty brisket.

Edit - bacon and pork belly. Wow! Lot of pork for something called the Big Texan. 😉

Didn't even know this was a chain. Large national chains, by and large, the wife and I avoid them. Best meal we had on a recent trip to San Diego was a small taco joint up near Del Mar. Better than anything we ate in the Gas Lamp district, and about 5x cheaper...T

It wasn't my choice but I rolled with it. The last two times I went there it was bad so strike 3!

Had a craving. Just so happens a local pizza place turned into a cross Canada chain has it on their menu. A large taco pizza. Fresh salsa, ground beef, red onions, mozzarella, sour cream, lettuce, fresh tomatoes and cheddar cheese. The original restaurant that I ordered from went under a few years ago. Panago is close to how they made it.

    Sucks to be you...right?

    I kid.

PS, When I had mine removed 30+yrs ago I laughed when I was prescribed C3 but they worked after a 6-pack. A grilled cheese cannot be blended and expected to be worthy of a crazy straw!!!

Oof. One of my colleagues went through this recently. Not fun. I was born without wisdom teeth, so never had a problem. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Tonight, was the first dinner at home in over a week for wife and I. Salmon. Did it in a nonstick frying pan, over olive oil. Did it skin up, then skin down. About 4 mins per side. Nice sear on top. Next time, I'll try it the other way around. Fresh cracked pepper and dill to finish. Topped with my my homemade Fresno chili/tropical fruit salsa.

Served with brown rice, canned peas (always Le Sueur peas! 😀), and homemade garlic bread.

Wisdom teeth are rough. Hard to believe I had mine out 19 years ago.

Its not fun being tied to the bathroom! I gave up the housekeeper. The Monday, Wednesday and Friday, she cleaned. Felt bad about leaving messes. So Id spend a few hours the night before cleaning. It was the same work as not having a housekeeper.

Thinking homemade cheeseburgers on the grill.

My wife spends time making the beds without the sheets and putting stuff away before she comes.

I stopped asking a dozen years ago... :)

Wife wants a house cleaner/keeper when we finish our remodel. For a poor boy from Brooklyn, it seems a tad decadent.

Today, it's chicken soup (that'll be Monday night dinner), semi-homemade pizza and the next installment of my sweet & heat salsa quest. All while watching my NCAA bracket go to heck. 😢 Bought a free range whole chicken on sale. $0.69/lb for the chicken. That's a deal! I gotta go back and get a few more...T

Only a dozen? I can only assume that you've not been married long. 😀 I realized on the second date that my wife was a mystery not to be solved! And, almost 20 years later, I'm still confused.

Forza Ferrari! The initial results on the habanero and tropical fruit salsa are in....
    🔥🔥🔥🔥
    😡😤😈
Muy picante. Just tried it on some leftover ground turkey. This'll be a nice way station for the final assault on Mt. Saint Bhut Jolokia!

Six small (at least they seemed small to me) habaneros from Kroger. Remove stems. I was not ruthlessly vigilant on membrane and seed removal. A can of tropical fruit salad. Blend with a stick blender. Reduce the puree in a sauce pan until desired thickness. Enjoy.

Twas easy. Fifteen mins from the get go and that included convincing the mother in law she didn't really want a little taste. 😀

.69 is a good deal. I buy the dog whole chickens. Problem I usually buy them in the U.S. and due to the bird flu outbreak. They banned all chicken and turkey products from crossing the border.

That looks great. Are those directly on the rack with a tray underneath to catch any dripping?

I tired out before making pizza. But, the chicken soup came out great. Whole chicken. Carved it up. Used the drumsticks, wings and back to make broth (skim off any fat that floats to top) and to provide the meat. Reserved the breasts and thighs for another night. Sweated celery and carrots, which I just rough chopped. Added garlic and onion powder to the broth, along with parsley, paprika, & black pepper. Simmer about 1 hours or until the carrots are soft enough for a 98 year old woman. 😃
    Serve with crusty bread. Yumbo!

I had similar issue. I went with crawfish tacos.

I also did a pasta dish with frozen crawfish tails. See post # 1698.
