I am still home recovering from being very ill this past week.

I have asked around but I know the most reliable folks to answer the question are the F-car brothers -

Did they salt or sand the roads for this small bit of snow, or will we be good to go for the warm weather coming up?

Here in NNJ they put brine down Yesterday. So without a rain, it gets all over everything when dried.

    Wait for some rain.

    Hope your feeling better.

Looks good to go here in Plainview, no salt or sand. Snow wasn't sticking on any roads, and barely on the grass.

All the major roads were brined on Thursday. I was on SS Parkway, Meadowbrook, Old Country Rd, Sunrise Hwy and Rt 110 - all had the telltale white drip trails of brine. :(

I saw a salt truck on the LIE around 1030 yesterday morning throwing down in the HOV lane.

I was considering going out this morning. I had no idea they salted this week. Are the roads really bad?

Went for a nice long drive today through Nassau and Suffolk with the 430. No issues with salt or messy roads.

Well, after today's rain, looks like the F-cars can come out to play until next fall at least.

    Today I love rain!

I think they have a surplus of salt from a basically mild winter. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Damn Old Man Winter rearing his ugly head one last time :(

Yep. Just washed my 430 on Friday for the first time since the fall. I guess on the lift it stays for a while if they throw down the salt again.

Forecast is for very light wet snow sticking to grass. We will be fine.

The weather channel forecast as of noon today for Plainview NY. Actually, it does show snow showers late tomorrow night, but just cloudy during the day.

I got my Italia out on the LIE around 4pm yesterday (before the rain/snow). The roads were fine, though it was too cold to get the tires properly warmed up. The snow last night just got the roads wet; I didn't see any signs of salt when I drove into NYC in my DD this morning.

Parkways seem to have been salted. Southern Parkway and Ocean Parkway in both Nassau and Suffokk have been salted.

Looks like we'll need another good rain.
