If only money bought taste, or buying cars was actually making art. lol The FF is very feminine for a super car. The round rear end and implied lines that fade into the paint, the triangles and 3s vs. the rectangles/4s in the new Lusso. The GTC4 is all 4s and squares and hard lines. Male. Basic design you would learn in the first year of any good art school. The California in Grigio Silverstone, with black wheels, is not feminine at all. Details, details, as you said, matter.
If someone wants to minimize unwanted attention they should avoid driving a Ferrari in the first place. That's a fact, not an opinion.
My experience is in line with those who say shields= more attention. And yes, shields = easier to sell. Not sure if its really a question of class. I think that's more complicated and likely something to be measured on a person by person basis. Absolutely agreed! Ferraris are wonderful, amazing cars. But the same things that make them so emotional for those of us who appreciate them, also make them stand out more and will draw attention.
this whole FF is feminine and Lusso is a marketing car... is the most dumbest thing ever... please make it stop.
Used 2012 Ferrari FF For Sale | Greenwich CT This 2012 FF in Grigio Caldo at Miller Motorcars in CT is understated elegance.
Totally agree. Lot's of LOL's indeed, if money bought taste than you wouldn't have bought a WHITE FF. But one in Blu Pozzi or Grigio Silverstone, Canne di Fucile, Rosso Monza or Nero Stellato. But definitely not white. I call that a contradiction.
boom - you took the words out of my mouth. ypsilon anytime your in the northeast let me know and we'll have some fun with my tasteless cars.
Never said your cars were tasteless, but buying cars doesn't make anyone an artist. Feminine lines for a super car, does not mean "feminine." You idiots enjoy each other.
Nothing wrong with a good tease after all only friends take the p... out of each other. Ever since Como I have been wrestling with the potential for me to place an order for the GTC4 Lusso in Silverstone with Cognac but every time I now look at my Silverstone and beige FF ( read good taste ) I love it even more. Something about the purity and simplicity of the intent. And since this thread started I have noticed very positive comments of admiration,,,,,not really registered them before, there you are, back on topic.
Maybe that is why one of the Lusso launch cars in Geneve was WHITE ? Maybe the factory has no taste and does not know their cars and design lines ?
I wldnt do white because white calls out for attention. Brian's tone continues to be disrespectful, demeaning, and non negotiable. He is quick to judge and call people names or claim they have no taste even though many of his posts profess that taste is relative. So taste is relative when he doesn't feel threatened but as soon as he feels the heat he switches to "you have no taste" or "you don't know what taste is" look at post 11 - with no shields you lose attention and resale value. My car was $380k when I bought it new and today its prob worth 150k...the shields are a rounding error as if I even cared. Attention? i'm not even going to comment. If you look at this thread and remove brian's posts, its a better thread in my opinion. you like white, buy white. you like shields, buy shields. you want to experience and FF with the least amount of attention - buy a darker color, take the shields off, get carbon center caps, and if you really want to go all the way take the silver horse and the front yellow tags off.
interesting twists and turns this thread has taken. Apparently the FF brings out the passion in people! Anyway, Maybe I am unusual in that I want to drive a Ferrari but I want minimal attention. I probably wouldn't go as far as removing shields, horse, etc, but darker color definitely. By the way, I would think that most non-car people wouldn't even know what the shields were. I didn't even know they were a thing until I joined this forum and read some posts about them. I am neutral on them. They look fine, but not a must for me.
Since when one person is the know-it-all to subjective matters? Shield, no shield, totally a personal view. Colors: personal again Brian you are entitled an opinion, as we all are. But looks like you missed the social 8th grade realization that you cannot impose opinions to people regardless of how successful you have been in life. Want to choose who people should vote for too? Opinion: white looks terrible on any big car like the FF, large sedans or SUVs Opinion: black hides all the lines of any car Opinion: silver and most grey cars are totally boring Opinion: shield or no shield Ferrari cars look pretty good overall
