Hello chat members, I am Vincent! I know some of you have already made derogatory comments about my Modena. It's ok tho, everyone has opinions. I am here tho to introduce myself and may find a lot of support with my project. I am not new to Ferrari- this is my 5th one. It is however, my first time taking on a project car. I felt after tracing the history of this 360 I thought I'd give her a second chance and restore her not chop it up and destroy another beautiful machine. Will she ever be a garage queen or in the 60k plus bracket NO, but I will make sure she's as close to perfect as one could wish for. With that being said- I look forward to sharing my experience and building many friendships along the way. Vincent :)

Starting with some suspense! Which POS car was it? the hello kitty example or the one with the mis-matched headlights and rebuilt title from 3 accidents?

If anything derogatory was said by me it was either very very tacky color scheme or it was a car that had enough damage that probably shouldnt be on the road or will empty the bank account if repaired by a dealer. :)

To either case I say welcome and happy to contribute to the flaming and/or the repair ! :)

I received the car 3-19-16! Shipped open carrier-Car was an absolute dirt ball. In the photos, they are completely untouched and as it sat while I put a charge to the battery. At first glance and taking notes it is going to need A LOT of tlc. I have the new door and inner sill plate which happened to come from a black 360 spider :) so I'm happy about this. I am planning a complete dismantle of the doors, interior, wheels and some other items to poke around. I've already discussed with DMV about the channels to get it inspected for road worthiness. Once this is performed, it will see its way to Bryan Vignale @ Independent Motor Works. Thanks for the support. Kindly, Vincent

Welcome, thanks for the pics. It's hard to tell from your pics but wanted to mention to be careful with the battery. The car, as you probably read here, is sensitive with respect to the electrical system. Batteries are only good for a few years max and need to be maintained in tip top shape with a tender designed for this purpose and/or the car needs to be used regularly to keep the battery at full charge.

If you are having trouble with the battery the first thing to do is to replace it and move on IMO. The thickness of the cord coming out of your window is concerning to me. What are you using to charge the battery?

I have already replaced the battery with an Optima Red Top and have it on a diehard battery maintainer. What you saw in the photo was the cord for a much larger charger on the battery that was in it when received. Thank you for the heads up! I have been keeping an eye on the volts with a meter to the battery. She is in good hands now ;)

    Oh THAT one..

Wasn't that bad IIRC. Just needed some refreshing and TLC. I agree with heating and de-denting that quarter panel, just swapping the door out. I switch the exhaust to an OEM on ebay IMHO.

Let us know what the "brake fluid" issue was regarding..

Other than the left door and left quarter panel, nothing really. I want to do a fresh major service and re-dye the interior. As I mentioned, it needs to be cared for and I cannot wait to care for it

Yes, it does need refreshing.. I have a good aluminum guy who hopefully can get the quarter as close to straight as possible. I am trying to locate an f430 muffler as we speak- it is WAY obnoxiously loud and cannot be good to run it this way IMO. I read about you guys mentioning about the brake fluid- I did a look around and even checked the level which was fine. In the eBay write-up, which I just saw for the first time- said "The brake light flickers every now and then, so it might be low on brake fluid". When I dove it, I fiddled with the E-Brake and it was causing the idiot light to flash. I assume some adjusting is needed, hence why i am tearing this thing apart..

It sounds like it was neglected. I still can't believe people get these cars and just trash them.

Good luck bringing her back! :)

I had a chance yesterday to run the car for about 15 miles or so. Here are some of my findings. Please feel free to share comments with thoughts.
    1. The oil temp gauge took some time to come up
    2. The Break Light "not parking" was lit.
    3. Airbag light on entire time
    4. Orange X in message display would flash between X and ASR
    5. When I put it in reverse "F1" if I didn't move right away it went into neutral
    6. Didnt test full auto mode.
    7. Took time down shifting to 1st when coming to a stop, seemed to have to use the paddles for gear needed
    8. Obnoxiously beautiful sounding but think I would like to install an F430 can.
    9. cannot wait to get her all fixed
    10. SMILES EAR to EAR for days!!

Ah ok, this is the one from south of Minneapolis with North Dakota salvage title, right?

The guy offered it to me for $38500 but got pissy when I mentioned a few things that were seen on his video, and didn't reply when I asked to send a mechanic to check it out. Hope u got a great deal on it!

Looks like it could be fun and educational to get her all fixed up! Congrats!
