Two components? Something like this? Slick! This is picture of packaging for what I use. Kroger always has them. T
Geez you guys. I'm home sick with a bad cold but need to hit the store and now you have me wanting to make pizza.
Thanks fellas. I think this is what I'm going after. Not sure I have the patience for a stone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You one of those foodie pirates? 😃 I'd have never thought to add carrot juice to the batter...T
You may be right. Got all dressed and ready to go but its pouring out there and I don't feel much like goin anywhere now.
I can't afford going there as much as I'd like to but the authentic ones are a neon orange. I pulled this recipe off the internet and it's the only one that makes sense. They didn't come out nearly as orange tough. Grabbing one and dropping it in the crispy seaweed, letting all of it stick to the sauce - borderline perfection. Needless to say I mixed carrot juice with my oj for breakfast this morning. Interesting thing to juice. I have retinitis pigmentosis in my family and probably should be drinking more of this to be honest though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You'll just make your cold worse by going out. Feed a cold, starve a fever is the old saw. So, get swiping. The wife and I had some chicken soup tonight from the batch I whipped up over the weekend. Does anyone deliver chicken soup? That'd be great for a cold! T
On the pizza front, one thing that I've found helps with a nice crust if you don't have the hardware to get super blazing hot (800 F or higher) temps is to prebake the pizza dough after you roll it out to the thickness you desire. Before you add sauce, cheese and toppings. I cook at 400 F for roughly 10 - 15 mins depending on thickness of dough, flipping it over a few times. Then, I add toppings (any veggies I sweat first) and cook until cheese gets bubbly and starts to brown a bit...T
Well its Tuesday, usually dinner and a movie. Not much to see movie wise. Bought a ton of hamburger for the dog. I'll either make burgers or maybe hamburger helper.
Just reserved Mockingjay II at the Redbox and Ralph's has standing rib roast on special. Bloody kill movie and red meat! No brainer, DONE!!!!
Busy so just Eggs Mustard Pickles Wife broke her retaining wire on my pickle! I AM A MAN lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man alive! Kroger (of which Ralph's is part of) here only has select grade rib eyes on sale this week. You fancy pants Californians get all the goodies. 😀 However, we have had a righteous sale on whole, free range chickens. 69 cents per lb. So, it's not all bleak. Made soup with one vehicle last night (used the back, wings and drumsticks) and tonight it's chicken boobs and thighs, baked in the oven! Bought two more chickens to store in the freezer Served with Israeli couscous and broccoli. Hummus and tomato appetizers to start off, along with champagne cocktails to forget the work day. T
Well. I did get a rib roast but I also got a trio of NY Strips to grill tonight, since I felt like cooking outside. They are soaking up some good garlic and spices ATM. Have you ever spiked your soup with lemon juice like I do?
Lemon juice? Never thought to do that. I do put in a squirt of lemon or lime into fruit soups, for a little acidity/brightness, and to slow down the Maillard reaction. Never in other soups. The orange stuff is the tropical fruit habanero salsa I posted about a few days ago. A nice sweet/heat accompaniment to the baked chicken. The couscous was finished off with a small bit of butter and fresh grated pecorino. Yummy! Costco frozen broccoli - waved and with a smidgen of American cheese to add some flavor. Happy spring everyone! T
Steak came out alright I guess, although all the steak knives were in the dishwasher...... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
