Scuffed drivers seat

I'm deeply saddened that in a rush, I sat down on my relatively new Ferrari 458 Spider and the belt loop of my jeans caught the edge of the seat and scuffed the leather on the side. The leather is a lot softer than my Maserati GTS and all the Audis I owned before. Has anyone else had the same experience and any way of fixing this? (In Switzerland)

Stuff happens!
The leather in the 458 is sourced from Poltrona Frau. (I think Luca owns a piece of PF)
This leather is of a much more robust quality than previous generation Ferraris.
Why not see a upholster who works on F cars. Again put in a call to your service center and they will refer you.
When you see the leather specialist, ask them to just do a paint touch up. At first it might not match perfectly, but over time it will develop a patina and look pretty good.

It looks worse with a flash, I tried using some leather restoring cream but still looks like a mess. It just took a split second to ruin a good seat

When you sit in in your car you must take care do not scrap the back rest. Mine is like new my car is 5 years old

that's an easy fix

 

My 2015 was worn in the same spot after a few months. I took the car to the dealer and it came back brand new. Impossible to notice it had ever been worn. Cheap fix, I think it was around $150 or $200. I was pleasantly surprised.

 

Wear soft pants without seat buttons or rivets. And no studded belts.

 

No fat chicks or ones with skirts in mine

 

This HAPPENS ... its just a car .... seats wear out, also if not or hardly driven ....

Of course it would be nice NOT to have wear .... (but you and me don't look like we were 21 years of age now )

If you feel bad .... let it be repaired .... if not ....

But indeed: be careful with all visitors ... wear soft pants without seat buttons or rivets (no jeans) and no studded belts.

 

It may look tacky, but seat covers are always an option if you do wear jeans and use the car as a DD. I have the ferrari covers for times of service or when i wear jeans.

 

While it's disappointing worse things can happen....my guess is that's an easy fix for a good leather shop....

You're in luck. Your color is black. Black is easy to match. I had to do a partial "rewrap" on the left side of my driver's seat for the same reason. The dealer's service did the whole job, using a local specialty vendor. They also redid the stitching where needed. I was very pleased with the job.

You can source original Ferrari leather at hydesleather.com , I would reupholster both front seats, the car will look , feel and smell like new.

Happened to me too day I took delivery, better than an exterior blemish I suppose.

Still bugs me when I look at it.

 

Maybe just call it patina.

 

I bought some elephant fat which cleans leather, put it on, used the hair dryer on it and left it overnight before wiping off. Seem to have fixed most of it! Now I'm debating whether it is worth getting it professionally looked at. It looks 95% normal

Wow great! Especially in beige tan colour

 

It is perfect. Positively no way of knowing it was once worn. When I traded in my 360, it had similar scuffs. The car went on the showroom floor for sale and the seats looked brand new. Call the dealer, I wouldn't fool around with anyone else.
