For those in the market to sell or buy, looks like some folks are asking at MSRP or above? Can anyone confirm?

Depends on where you are in the market... Even here in Germany you won't find one at or below MSRP.

I thought there was a rule that dealerships couldn't sell above MSRP on original cars, of course I get collectors and Speciale Aperta, but normal Speciale's too?

I lost out on a $387k car that was asking only $399k last week. It seems MSRP is not unreasonable at all. When more 488s hit the shore, more Speciales will hit the market and they'll be even cheaper.

I've came across a couple "new" Speciales that have landed at dealers and for whatever reason the original "potential" buyer did not take delivey. In return the dealers were asking a hefty premium over sticker even though it was a "new" car. Whereas If the original guy took delivery he would've only paid MSRP.

Speciales are considered collectible cars (whatever that means). I wouldn't count on ever seeing one below MSRP in the US.

This is a well know game played in the US. They are officially "new" as they will have been titled to a customer but never driven. Many Aperta owners also bought Speciales that they never took delivery of.. they "bought" them and instantly traded them in towards their Aperta.

Dealers might be advertising them "Like new".. but legally they are used cars.

Got it, I believe there is a 6 month hold time before you can turn it in correct?

They are going for $500 k and up in Canada for cars that listed for just $375 k 18 months ago. Where they will end up is anyone's guess but they are truly amazing cars. :) ;)

Many dealers make customers sign a 1st right of refusal on sale for 1 year.

For normal Speciale they are asking substantially below sticker in the Middle East with asking price about US $270K to $280K for 2014 and 2015 MY cars (~ 4K miles), so figure close to US $250K actual selling price. Great cars, but don't see US and Canadian prices being sustainable.

We do! My dealer has no shot at executing the 1st year first right of refusal.. you have the 1st right of refusal starting in year 2 :)

Looking around for offers for a friends speciale. MSRP is around 335. Best offer has been 335 but mostly the offers come at 310. Has anyone traded at these prices or has seen cars going at these prices? The speciales I am coming across are offered at premiums but have been sitting for a while now and I think the market is about to dip downwards but haven't seen these low prices so far. Can anyone chime in?

There's too many around. One has been at the Vegas dealer for months with no offers.

Seeing a lot listing around $399k; I paid a premium for mine however it was because of all the aftermarket items I wanted...and I love the car...
