Just curious if recent buyers are seeing a mix of Pirellis and Michelins or has Ferrari preferentially gone with one brand as of late?? I was never offered a choice to my knowledge. Thanks for any input.

I requested Michelin Pilot Super Sports and they are outstanding on the car.

It's not an option you can select, per se, but you can put in a request for a specific tire when you submit the order. Of the ones Ferrari uses for the F12, Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the ones to get. Pirelli PZero and Bridgestone S007 are the other tires I've heard of on the F12s.

This is what the dealer put in at order time:

    TYMX MICHELIN TYRES

Although a "request" and not a guarantee, so far it has always worked.

I requested Michelin too...no guarantees. They call it seasonal availability. I hope it is Michelin season when my car is being built in June or July.

Thanks for the replies. I was never told about the option to request one over another, so I guess I'll just find out when it arrives.

Had no idea, but I like P Zeros at any rate. Thanks for the replies.

Request Michelin Pilot Supersports. FYI my understanding is its a little above simply a request but not quite a guaranteed option. Its like they really really try to satisfy this request. I requested MPSS on mine as well. :)

There actually is a 'check box' just like any other options in the dealer's computer web portal all the way at the end in the second column. It's the second last option. Seen it and told my dealer to check the Michelins vs the Pirellis.

I requested Michelin and had it double checked by my dealer. My car showed up with Bridgestones on it. I'd never had Bridgestones and luckily have really liked them so far.

I thought the only 'K' approved Bridgestone tyres were the run-flat tyre option (option code FLAT), being S001 255/35R 20 97 ZR (Y) and 315/35R 20 110 ZR (Y). Well that's what it says in my 2014 EU manual, for what that's worth (not particularly reliable information). YMMV.

Requested Michelin Pilot Super Sports, paired with HRE P101, best set up and driving feel for the F 12 IMHO.
