Wolf told me that those wheels were the same type as used on his WR1 Formula 1 race-car.

on saturday i went to Switerzland with a friend and good customer that had to take delivery of his "new" LP400S countach.
the car is the well known twinsupercharged Series 2 most of you probably had seen on lambocars and other sites.
it is not a museum original car of course but a lot of time, effort and money was spent from the previous owner in developing this car. and you can see the mechanical works are really well done and engineered

i am sure some things are not everyone's taste... but, all in all, a cool project and i bet a beast of a countach when on boost

we drove just briefly but the sound from the V12 combined with the blow off valves is intoxicating and something to be experienced

i hope to make more pictures and have more time to drive it soon

Looks cool, but almost impossible to turn at parking speeds!

Emilio I'll link it in the DD thread since a pouch with the shield embossed "Nuova Lamborghini" is correct-for-period for those cars (& others besides).

This is why good CT variants will be all over 1M.

5,000 cars sold to people willing to pay 400-500k for a depreciating asset inspired by the original, rare, and iconic CT.

5,000 cars. Depresses me slightly bc I remember how rare a sight a CT was when I was a boy. Wait still that rare!

Coincidentally, yesterday I decided to get some info about Lambo/Ferrari car production.

    Lamborghini:
    Murcielago - over 4,000 units
    Gallardo - over 14,000 units
    Ferrari:
    360 Modena - 8,500 units
    360 Spider - 7,500 units
    F430 - est. over 10,000 units
    F430 Spider - est. over 14,000 units
458 Italia - est. close to 20,000 units

Talk about "exotic" cars with those numbers.

For an LP400S I was surprised to see this car advertised a while back in the mid $300K USD range. It would have been a great project to return to original, but I'm glad to hear that it is being enjoyed with the turbos and all! :D

That C4 'Vette would have been properly humiliated with that company.

    Thanks Joe.
Yes, I do have a copy of this magazine. ;)

About the other Verde Abete we were discussing previously, I found a photo of the other Aussie LP400S, #1121338 : Countach S3, RHD, delivered new to Australia on June 29th 1981...

Yes indeed, and the third car (Verde Abate/Bianco LP400S 1121438) is currently in the Middle East per the images I posted http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144531717-post22319.html, I hope to bring you better images soon!

Still couldn't find the VIN of that one.
This color combination doesn't match with anything from the factory archives...

Do you have more photos from the Top Wheels magazine?
