Am I missing a data plate on my 97 355 ?

    Just noticed this, passengers side in the rear.
    Seems to be 2 holes from the factory ?
    If you have a plate attached there, a picture would be nice.

    I can't figure out what that plate is for in the pic you posted ???
    Intake looks like a 95' in the picture.

    The right hand (silver) plate is the engine model information for European cars I believe.

    Yeah I remember a thread on this some time back. The US cars have two holes with no data plate.

    The funny thing is, with American motor vehicle legislation the way it is, you'd have thought it would have been the US cars that required the engine spec plate rather than the European market cars!

    (And in places such as California, you would then fail inspection if the plate were missing and not be allowed to drive it on the public roads!)

    It's a funny old World! :)
