Yes it does, but 300€ for it!!! i'll take the "old" diecast version any day for half the price....good enough for me, and you can open it!!
The dino and the Laf look like plastic kits to me, maybe the pictures, i don't know, but the Tr looks a lot better
Thanks for posting the photos. Well if these Kyosho's are all 300€ each, then they are definitely overpriced. I noticed that the top center areas of window trim on windshield and rear window of the Dino have fit problems, the trim looks like it dips down in the middle. At these prices for curbside resin models produced at low cost in China, they should be damn well perfect, and they are not.
....Marshal, no one makes perfect models (not this big model builders, probably only the likes of Minidelta, CMA, and other smaller top builders), and of course for someone of your skills it will look even worse!!! But i agree, for this money, a better job could and should be done.
Yes Pedro, exactly, no one makes perfect models, not me, not any custom builders, and not any other company. Completely agree. Some of us may come very close, but there is always room for improvement and corrections. I have been reviewing models and writing articles about them since the early 1980s and I always judge or critique if you will, each model based on many factors. I have some cheap mass market 1:43 scale pieces that are wonderful and others that are not, and same for models I have in all other scales, and at all different levels of rarity and price points. Based on what Kyosho's costs are and quantities that they will produce, along with pricing, I am more critical of them and expect more than I do of a similar, but lower cost model. i.e. some or many of the 1:18 scale Spark models are better and at much lower prices. That said.... I am NOT a fan of Spark, but I do have some of their models. I have the Mattel Elite Dino 246 GT and would like to replace it with a better model, but I'm not sure that I see enough value with the Kyosho to add or replace the cheap Mattel model with. I'll wait to see one in person, and if I can get one at a decent price or not.
Is there interest in posting info and pics of various other non Ferrari 1:18 models here? I've recently received 12 assorted models from a few different manufacturers. I was thinking of posting some pics and info at some point, but only 2 of them are Ferrari models. Is there a preference to stay with just Ferrari, or just Italian, or is every marque ok?? Replies would be appreciated.
Stay with Just Ferrari, Also does anyone know if anyone will ever build 1:18 models of the 365 GTC/4 the 250 GTE the 330 GT 2+2 or 400 GT 2+2. Chuck
What the heck, I think we are all into seeing italian models here, not just Ferrari. Post them! If people don't want to look at the photos they don't have to but I bet you get many views.
I love my Ferrari models but I also collect other marques so yes I would l be interested in other models.
Please post anything related to 1/18 models Marshal, many colect other things besides Ferraris....i don't..but i like to watch
CMF just released a 1962 ferrari 330 tri...i'm ashamed to put the pictures in here.....trust me guys, you don't want to buy this one!!!
me too...but we must wait at least untill July (i asked anthat's the ansewr i got ...).looksmart says they will release theyrs in April....looks very good also.
Ditto... looks like they've got a pretty good prototype together, hopefully not too long now - seems like I've had it on pre-order for a LONG time...
I'm in no rush... At least I have time to save up. On a different note, I wonder when BBRs 208 cars will be shipping out. They are for sure over the shipping date for them which should have happened back in June of last year. Anyone have an update on the 208s
Nope...one can never be sure about dates with them....somethimes anounced models take for ever and other just pop up out of nowhere.....but i wouldn't expect the 208 soon....
