You can buy it online as well, here for example:

Evo Magazine Subscription | Buy at Newsstand.co.uk | General Car

And it's worth purchasing, no doubt, still the article left me a bit dissapointed. Feel EVO could've written a bit more about the driving experience.

Hope the video brings more of that.

Retail sales of EVO in the US run a month behind, so you'll get the Dec issue in Jan. Subscription EVO runs a week (two weeks over Christmas) behind in the US.

Just completed reading this thread over the last two days at work (don't judge me, it has been dull and dead in the office). I must say your incredible attention to detail on this build while also refining the car through various subtle improvements such as the MoTec EMS, carbon turbo inlets, etc is nothing short of phenomenal and breathtaking. I can't imagine the thrill to look upon the car as it sits knowing it is yours.

By the way, if there are any remaining slots for your book set I would like to order one. Happy New Year!

Many thanks and yes, it will be good once it hits my garage sometime next year.

Whilst book 1 is finished, book 2 is still a work in progress and once I have finished that, I will assess the demand on this site after getting a price and try and do the old Ferrari thing of producing one less than the market wants!

Since I'm still having withdrawals from this thread even now after all this time I ordered and built myself my own F40:

    Ferrari F40* | LEGO Shop

Was a fun little project and it's the first time in a very long time I can say I spent hours working on a car without getting my hands dirty :p

TIm how have the R888's been for you? I'm considering them for rears for my car in a 315/30/18 and its quite possible it'll see wet roads. Do you have any wet feedback?
    thanks!!

All I can say is wow. This is the first time I have ever posted on FC and it is easily the most amazing build I have ever seen.
The F40 has always been a "poster car" for me, as in actually the poster I had hanging on my wall as a teenager and it is amazing to see one so great restored to such a perfect level. I have been in love with this car ever since seeing it in European Car quite a while ago. Speaking of, the particular one I remember reading about happened to have twin KKK turbos installed and put out just north of 700hp. Not sure if it could be the same vehicle. I cannot remember the exact time that I saw it but it must have been around 15 years ago. I took a futile search online but to no avail.

Truly amazing, a great time to stumble on this build as I plan to go find the copy of EVO that it came out in.

Tim, first post here just to say thanks for such an amazing build. The F40 has always been my "poster car" (quite literally posters on the wall as a teenager) and have always been fascinated by it. The first time I stumbled across one was when I was quite bored, sitting in an airport and I picked up a copy of European Car. It had a beautiful spread of a F40 driving some twisty backroad.

Speaking of, the article stated that this particular F40 happened to have twin KKK turbos (not IHI) and was quoted at just above 700 hp. I don't recall it having any decals as many of the original photos showed. It seems a long shot but I was wondering if it could have been the same one as shown here. I can't find the article online but it must have been 15-16 years ago if not longer.

Never driven in the wet and after all this, unless I am caught out, never plan to!

You have done your homework well and it did produce 720 BHP in its racing days with the KKK's. No photo attached to your post so could not comment.

I have only finished Book 1 and hope, time permitting to get Book 2 ready in the next 6 weeks or so and then I will see what the demand is when I know the cost.

You're very welcome and thank you.

Excuse my previous post and the spelling errors, iPhones and forums do not go together with spelling check when co driving a car !

Just read the feature in EVO about this car, then all about the restoration. What an amazing project, there's so much detail, this must be one of the best cars in the world.

Thanks for considering it so and glad you enjoyed the article. Off to take the final shots for Book 2 of the restoration tomorrow, awaiting a date for an Evo video and then hopefully get some track time this year, time, and weather, permitting.

Long time fan (since seeing it on Build Threads), first time caller.

If you'd fancy an all expenses (including travel) paid set of runs up Shelsley Walsh hillclimb I'd LOVE to have you and the car at an event I run. I've set my profile to be able to be emailed if you'd like to get in touch.

If not that is all grand, this build thread is brilliant, great to see how well documented it is, thank you so much for sharing.
