There are many photos of his red '75 on the facebook link I posted... A few more of the Ice Green Metallic...by simply removing the rear spacers, he fitted much wider 15 inch wheels and used open lug nuts on the stock studs. Has anyone ever seen a travel kit for an early 3.0-liter Turbo? I guess one could have bought a 911 travel kit, but I wonder if there was one for the Turbo with some different items?
The 1974 Turbo RSR 2.1s were fitted with Bosch H4 headlights for the 1974 Le Mans. They used chrome base ring versions, 911 631 113 00 and did not have the body-colored trim rings fitted. At some point during the 1974 Le Mans race, No. 22 Turbo (finished 2nd overall) had duct tape applied to the H4s something anyone that has R & R H4s can relate to (make sure they are on correct and properly tightened, otherwise they may go airborne during a drive). Some Turbo RSRs and 934s were fitted with H4s with black base rings, #911 631 113 02. The prototype 911 Turbo at the 1973 Frankfurt show also had Bosch H4s with painted silver metallic base rings. You can distinguish H4s from earlier H1s by the 2 vs. 4 adjustment screws (without outer trim rings installed), different lens pattern, and pebbled vs. clear H4 upper glass. H4s were also on the Porsche Turbo featured in the RoW 1975 and 1976 Turbo Carrera brochures...also painted silver metallic without trim rings. Seldom seen color combination...Ice Green Metallic with black leather and full McLaughlin Tartan dress. The interior appears remarkably original. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Another view of the same 934 in post # 5955 above. This was at a U.S. dealership but I don't recall where (Stoddard?). The H4s in this 934 would have date codes later than my '75 Turbo...probably late-1975. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mclaughlan with blue carpet as my car and yes very original with a goog patine. Any info about the right glass reference ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fred - if you ever find ’75 #20 in a barn in France, look for the Bosch battery cutoff switch in the bodywork and dash pad. Probably the same setup as the Turbo Carrera RSR 2.1’s. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today, the 1973 FrankFurt show 911 Turbo still has H4 headlights but the once silver metallic rings are now chrome. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

About to start a conservative restoration on my interior(selective updating without getting rid of all at the patina)...can i get direction for a 1. 76 dash 2. period color correct seat covers 3. period correct carpet 4. various door seals I have been following the thread for sometime and know some of these items have been discussed in the past but i know some parts are now not available as they were only a few years back.
Tom, try Brian at 888-777-6772. I have '77 930 which he has come up with engine and interior parts I needed that the dealer couldn't locate. Good luck!
1. 76 dash 1-year only and covered in leather. No speaker grill on top and no A/C vents in front 2. period color correct seat covers front & rear seats were the same as 1975 Turbos (front/rear seat design changed in 1977 except sport seats that stayed the same). Standard leather colors were Black, Copper Red (Russet), and Brown/Beige. Optional colors were also available for no charge (check COA) 3. period correct carpet has been discussed before but the original velour is not available but many are making the Cut Pile version 4. various door seals should be the same for all 930s. If you are referring to the door panels, 1976 was a 1-year only door panel with pleats and no cutout for the lock function Additionally: Rear shelf was also a 1-year only with square (vs. oval on 1977) speaker cutouts and pleated lower panel
Spectacular. Many thanks. Im passing this over to the resto guy. I knew the dash was incorrect Image Unavailable, Please Login
